Extra set of handlebars for the rear passenger. There are semi-permanently attached bags along the extended back. Bike is in very good condition. Heavy - would take 2 people to carry. **The handlebars, both front and back ones, are different than the ones in the pic. Currently, the front bars have ergon grips and the back ones have a straighter all black handlebar**

Most likely happened after midnight. Thieves used an old suitcase they took from the alley to get over our fence (6 ft wooden fence). Unlocked the gate from the inside to get the bike out of the yard. This is not a common bike!! I have only seen a few other Big Dummies in Chicago in the past few years. The bike frame has the older "swoop" top tube.

Incident Description: 
Bike was locked to the rack at the north end of the Rock Island Metra platform at 95th/Beverly/Longwood (Beverly Subdistrict line). I locked the bike up at 6:15am and it was gone when I returned at 4:15. The rack is at the far end of the platform away from the ticket agent/building (which doesn't have a view of the rack, and they leave mid-day anyway). 2 other bikes were locked to the rack when I returned, but not mine. A report was filed with Metra. Chicago police have not called back yet.

There is also a saddlebag on the seat. The bike is aluminum with a carbon fork, and the fork is not from the manufacturer and was replaced later. There are two waterbottle cages as well.

Bike frame and front tire were u-locked to the bike rack. Rear tire was cabled to frame. Lock cut and missing along with rear tire. All other parts were left. Bike was locked to bike rack in front of Truman College on Wilson. Apparently the bike rack I was on isn't caught by their two security cameras and there has been a rash of bike parts stolen. Report was filed with the school and the police and there is an active detective on the case tying it to the other bike thefts.

good condition, frame paint was chipped all over from Kryptonite U lock. It had a red compass bell on the handlebars as well as a light. It also had a large brown wicker basket on the front covered in silk flowers, fern garland and homemade paper butterflies. It had/has a mountain rack and two metal collapsible shopping baskets on the back. One basket was slightly bent. These baskets were also covered in spanish moss and silk flowers and plastic insects. There was a witch's broom attached to the bar and mountain rack and ran under the seat. It has thick knobby tires and a thick cushioned seat with springs. Kryptonite U-lock (w/ round key) was in the back basket, as the bike was stored inside the garage.

Bike was securely locked with a heavy-duty U-Lock and a cable around both tires around 11 p.m. (10/27) when I returned home. When I left the following morning (10/28) around 7:45 a.m. it was gone and the vertical bar in the metal fence it was locked to had been ripped from the fence frame. It appears the bike was then lifted off the broken metal bar and taken with the locks.
