Bike was stolen from the inside of a locked/secured apartment building. 5:00-5:40pm Sep 23, 2024

Locked to a tree in front of the Marriott Magnificent Mile lobby on Rush and E. Ohio St. Missing in the AM.

I saw the bike parked out in front of the building (4598-4566 N Hamilton Ave, Chicago, IL 60625) at 12:20am 10/7/2024 when I went up to my partner's apartment. When I came down at 11:30am, the bike was gone along with the lock.

Bike went missing from apartment building bike room. It was locked to one of the racks in there and noticed it was missing today when I went to retrieve it.

Bike was locked to a street sign around 9pm October 5. When i checked on it at 9:00am October 6 i noticed the lock was cut and bike was missing.

My bike was still in the (unlocked) gated area in front of my apartment when I last came back around 4 pm on Saturday October 5th. When I went out in the morning of October 6th, the bike was no longer in front of the building. It had been locked to the fence with a cable combination lock. I had not used the bike in at least 4 days. I assume that someone came during the night after scouting the building and seeing the bike there, and with a cable cutter snapped the cable and stole the bike.

I left my bicycle in my garage as usual. The garage door was closed at the time of incident.

I found my bike missing from the fence it was locked to and the fence destroyed

Bike was locked to metal bike holder attached to garage wall. Bike was stolen between Sept. 28 at 7 pm and Oct. 2 at 6 pm. Both bike and lock were taken. https://99spokes.com/bikes/fuji/2018/silhouette-1.3 this shows the model of my bike in a lighter gray color.

Stepped out around the lunch your. Came back and my bike lock was cut and bike was stolen from inside my second floor garage.

It was locked at the Leland Avenue bike racks at the Ravenswood Metra station. Likely but between 3-5PM. Locked with an Abus folding lock that was left.

Left bike at Belmont blue line station with what I thought was securely locked around front tire and frame, returned to just the front tire and my bike lock so it was not around the frame like I thought. I don't want to file a police report or anything I just want my bike back.

I locked my bike to a pole right outside a dentist office when I went in for an appointment around 8:05am. When I left around 9:10am, my bike was gone. I had locked it with a U-Lock & cable, which was also gone. On my way biking over there, while stopped at a red light, a male teenager on a road bike & wearing a hoodie gave me a thumbs up and said "that's a nice bike." No idea if he stole my bike, but I don't normally get compliments on my bike and then have it stolen immediately after.

I left my bike at approximately 5:20 a.m in the bike rack at Life time Gym in the vestibule. I put it right next to another black bike to the farthest left side of the bike rack. When I came down around 8:00 a.m I noticed nothing was there. I went out and asked the concierge at 1 Chicago if I should let them know or the lifetime concierge. She directed me to lifetime so I spoke with the young lady there and filed an incident report. Incident report #307456. They tried looking for it in the other room but no luck.

I just moved to the suburbs to get away from crime and i had a surgery to remove a tumor in my right leg. I was using the bike to get to and from work from the train because it hurts to walk long distances. I parked my bike outside my office at 353 N clark. I came out later and every bike that was locked to the bike locks was gone including my specialized. I found multiple people who are selling 20+ bikes on facebook marketplace all post my bike. I messaged them to buy it but they removed it. One of them is still talking to me. I’m trying to go meet them to get it back. I have receipts for the bike. And every accessory still on the bike. Do not bring your bike downtown. If you do take it indoors. The same person who stole it has electric bikes and scooters i recognize all on his facebook for sale. That’s what i get for working hard and trying to get my family a better life. It took me so long to report it and i cannot get in touch with a officer to help me get it back. Expensive bikes like these are easy to prove it’s mine i have all the paperwork. I was goinf to meet them to get it back and they are not answering now.

Unclear of what day or time this happened since I’ve been working, but noticed my bike was missing today on 9/28. Likely happened sometime earlier this week. Happened in back common area that is gated/locked. Apt complex has a designated bike rack for tenants that my bike has been locked to for 3 years when not in use.

Bike was stolen from shared basement of apartment building with 4 units. The basement is only accessible to tenants, or anyone that is able to get into the locked building.

Someone broke into my garage and took it. It had the wheel brake on but was otherwise not locked.
