Rode to Central street purple line with my 10 year son's bike to go to the Cubs game. We locked both together through provided bike rack (large black u-shape frame bolted to sidewalk). Bikes were locked together through both wheels and frames and rack. We used a u-lock, cable, and cable lock together.

I left the garage at around 3:45pm. At that time, my bicycle was in the garage. When I returned home at 9:00pm, I realized that the neighboring garage spot had the door open and that my bicycle (a green, Driggs 3) had been stolen. I notified the woman who I rent the garage spot from, as it is in the alleyway attached to 1958 W Winona, 60640.

I left this bike and another bike (a rental bike that my father in law picked up from Rapha Cycling Club) in my garage on Thursday, August 17 and locked the door. Around 9am on Friday, August 18, we saw that both bikes were stolen out of the garage, so we don't know exactly what time they were stolen. The deadbolted door to the garage was unlocked. We learned from our next door neighbor that their garage was also unlocked (but nothing was stolen as she didn't have anything of value in there), meaning the thieves had probably raided our row of garages in our alley.
