Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The Aventon level step thru bike was stolen from lake shore fitness club 1320 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60614, around 5.30 p.m

The bike was locked to the second floor balcony’s railing on the backside of the building. The balcony has a stair way so somebody had to climb up the stairs the the 2nd floor and physically cut the lock and take the bike.

bike was locked in garage less than1 hour before break in where over $850 worth tools were taken along with a lawn mower. the thief used a large screwdriver and possibly a hammer to break the deadbolt from the lock also damaging the door jamb.

I keep the bike stored in our three car garage which has alley access. I didn't ride it for a few days, and then walked in and poof! Bike gone. I store it hanging from the ceiling on the inside wall of the garage, in front of all the vehicles so maybe someone walked by and snatched it if the door was open momentarily and a vehicle was out so there was a clear line of sight? It's not locked when it is being stored/hung, the Abdus lock is stored on the bike itself. Someone removed my helmet, threw it on the floor, and took the bike. The bike had a black and red Abdus lock, as well as a mini pump - both attached.

Door to garage didn't properly shut and lock, and bike was taken some time between 1am and 4am the morning of 9/15/21

I parked my bike outside my building and left it, and checked on it the next day to make sure it was okay. I then checked it again and the bike was gone, and the lock cable was cut clean with what I presume was cable cutters. All the other bikes around it were not disturbed.

Bike was kept under the back porch stairs around the back of the apartment building. Could not lock it to anything, there was nothing to secure it to, but it was kept under a cover. Sometime during the night of September 4 between midnight and 10am it was stolen.

Incident on Albany near Addison street. I opened my garage to work on a few things. I stepped into my yard and back into the garage and it was gone. They threw my helmet on the ground near by heading towards Elston.

A unidentified male broke down our locked fence gate from our alley, and subsequently kicked down our locked garage side door in our backyard. He stole the bike, which was not locked in the garage and continued to ride off through the alley.

Locked with cable and small padlock through front wheel to bike rack at NW corner of Lakewood and Pratt. I live diagonal from it and could see the site from my window but it was gone so quick. Someone left their bike in its place, i think?? A black Target Magna bike was set without a lock at the same rack, so it feels like it could have been the thieve's own bike and he "traded up".

Bike has been stored in our apartment garage that opens to a back alley. We don’t lock it to anything while it’s in the garage. Our neighbors left the door open and someone stole it from the garage.

Locked on fence of 917 w dakin st as described on 9/10/21. (Also bike had wheel locks!) a piece of cut u lock was left at the scene :( another bike was left untouched.

It was gone after 10pm on Sept 9th and before 2pm on Sept 10th.

The bike was locked with a U-Lock to an outside wooden stairwell and at 11:10 PM. A man used a PVC bike as a crowbar to break wapart the stair well rails and steal the bike.

Bike was cut from lock after they broke into our back stairwell where the bike rack was kept.
