The bike was not locked because it was in our own private garage. The garage door was open momentarily as we (the owners) were departing with our car. Thief had a small window of time to steal the bike, but he managed to get the bike while we were not looking. I believe he was casing out the garage beforehand and took what he could in a short period of time (under 30 seconds).
