Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was hanging from ceiling of garage with frame and wheels locked to 2 other bikes with 3 steel cables and padlocks. Cables were cut and left at scene. Found Sunday 5/21/2017 at 6:30pm. A Felt Z85 road bike bike was also stolen. Neighbor noticed that the overhead garage door was slightly open, approximately 2 feet, that afternoon. Garage service door was locked. No damage to overhead garage door or the garage service door were noticed.

A Trek Speed Concept triathlon bike was also stolen. Neighbor noticed that the overhead garage door was slightly open, approximately 2 feet, that afternoon. Garage service door was locked. No damage to overhead garage door or the garage service door were noticed.

My bike was locked to the orange bike rack in front of Friar Tuck's for approximately an hour. When I left Friar Tuck's I discovered the bike and lock missing.

The bike was locked outside of Oglevie train station in downtown Chicago. I was in a restaurant that is just inside the train station building, and it was gone when I came out.

Bike was parked in bike racks in front of elementary school and left over night. Next morning bicycle was missing.

I went to LA fitness on the corner of Grand and N McClurg, locked my bike to the bike rack right in front of the building. When I came out approximately one hour later, both the lock and my bike were gone.

Saw bike in garage at 7pm on May 18th. Noticed it was gone as 11am May 19th

Left bike (Huffy 26-inch Men's Nighthawk™ Mountain Bike) at the Belmont CTA Station bikerack at 7:45am. Bike was missing when I returned around 6:30 pm

Bike was on locked back porch. Thief probably got in through alley. There have been multiple break-ins in the area.

Bike was kept in a secure, locked garage and was not locked at the time it was stolen. The bike was parked in my unit's assigned parking space and had been kept there for two months (unlocked) without any issues (I realize now that I should have locked it up, even in a residents-only garage).

Moved into the neighborhood on April 29. The bike was temporarily being stored in a three car garage. The parking spot associated with my unit is currently being used to store furniture, not my car. It was locked to a wooden structure within the garage. The specific date and time of the incident is unknown. I only realized it was stolen when I went to throw the garbage out on the evening of Wednesday, May 10. The furniture in which the bike was attached to was broken to pieces. The lock was taken in addition to the bike. There appeared to be no forced entry into the garage, so I assume the garage was wither left open by another tenant or the perpetrator used a universal garage door opener.

Bike was left outside of an office building, just down the street from Headquarters bar. I was unfortunately in a hurry and forgot to lock up my bike. I realized this about an hour after arriving and walked outside to find it gone. I have surveillance of the theft taking place.

Bike was locked in front of Piper's Alley for 20-30 min while owner was inside Chipotle. Bike and lock both missing upon return.

Burglers entered into our landlords garage and stole tools and multiple bikes.

Lock was intact on pole. Cable was gone.

Last seen at around 6:30 pm, in the enclosed parking lot of apartment building. Had flat front tire. when asked landlord had not moved it- and did not mention having seen it when she was there in the morning, however I first knew it was gone at noon the following day.

Bike stolen from garage in Lakeview. Bike is gray Specialized with a black back rack.
