Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Left bike next to my house behind locked gate. Thieves climbed over the 5 foot fence to steal it.

Between Sunday at 5pm and Wednesday at 5pm (6-14 to 6-17) from behind an apartment complex in an enclosed yard

Left to run errands; garage door was left open. Bike was gone when I returned.

Bike was stolen on Northwestern memorial hospital campus between the hours of 930am and 500pm behind the Olson pavilion building at a bike rack between Huron and superior.

Someone stole my bike from the 2nd floor porch in Bucktown. The guys at the Bike Lane bike shop says they saw someone bring it in for new tires. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you see it, report it. It is a all white custom bike- not too many like it.

bike was locked with 2 cables and one u-lock to a cement parking spot divider inside of a locked garage. one of the cables was cut and left partly at the scene. the other cable and u-lock were gone along with the bike. the only people with access to the garage are residents of the building and any maintenance workers and/or management employees. there is a lot of construction going on in the alley behind my building, and a lot of trucks have been in and out of the alley over the past several weeks. there are many other bikes locked up in the garage and nothing else appeared stolen.

Locked bike to bike racks located in front of FFC/Corner on 444 W. Jackson. around 8:45 am - Returned to bike at 5:30pm and all was gone. Bike racks are directly in sight of security cameras

Bike was behind a locked door in a laundry room at 1248 W Addison - could be someone with key, lock was picked, or door left open.

A bunch of teenaged guys in blackhawks jerseys were near my house in Roscoe Village after I went up with my kids. They went behind our gate and snagged my bike from the space between my house and our neighbors.

Between 7:00 am and 9:45, someone opened the garage door and took the bike but did not steal anything else from my garage including the other 3 bikes I had in there. A neighbor notified us that our garage door was open around 9:45 and that is when we noticed the bike was missing. Police came to investigate the situation and documented some potential evidence.

Walk out of my apartment to head to work and notice it was gone. Bolt at the bottom of the street sign had been removed and bike lifted from there.

Bike removed sometime during week of March 15, 2015. Bike disappeared from locked basement.

Someone came in quietly through the unlocked rear door ~15 feet away from people working and cherry picked it

Bike was stored in the locked basement of 2 flat. Someone broke a window, climbed in and stole the bike (taking it out through the back door).

Locked a Sage Green 1999 Raleigh SC-30 with an integrated key lock to the bike rack at the Jefferson Park CTA Terminal on Tuesday June 9 at 7 a.m. Upon arrival 5 hours later than usual (10 p.m.), bike was gone and integrated cable/lock was lying on the ground. Looked like a previous attempt had been made on the cable and whoever it was came back with something stronger to cut the cable. No sense reporting to CTA, they don't care or take responsibility for stolen bikes. Didn't file a police report because we don't have the serial # and all previous stolen bikes we reported to police were never recovered. The pisser is this SC-30 was in excellent condition (and just put in a new inner tube, which will be how I can identify the bike) but its resale value is only $75.

The bike was locked starting past midnight at the bike rack at the sidewalk directly in front of Ogilvie Metra Train Station along Madison Avenue. It cannot be taken by the owner with him in riding the train due to the high volume of passengers up to the last train trips, so the owner had to leave the bike locked in the rack in the sidewalk, rode the train, and his plan was to take it later when it can be accommodated in the train.

Back door may have been left open, bike was taking from second floor enclosed porch.
