Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was inside a locked garage, but my husband came home to find the garage door open and the bike missing.

Parked two bikes on the north west corner of Columbus and Monroe at the bike rack, went to see the Bean and have brunch at The Gage, came back and one of the two bikes was gone, along with the lock, and the helmet (which was also locked up).

My bike was the only bike locked up outside Huntington bank on Broadway in Uptown. I went into first ascent to climb, looked out the window around 6:30pm and saw my bike. When I left at 7 it was gone.

The bike was not locked, but it was in a locked area behind North Pond in Lincoln Park. It was stolen while I was working.

The bike was locked at the bike rack in front of University Hall at UIC close to the Behavioral Sciences building. Was stolen probably at some time after 5 after campus traffic died down.

the bike was stolen through the back door of an apartment building located at 1133 W Taylor street. The bike was located on the fourth-floor stairwell. the thief trespassed the building and climbed four flights of stairs.

Someone broke into my back porch as well as my garage. Took my bike and leaf blowers from our garage. The bike is very distinctive.

I am a student at IIT. I locked my bike on the bike rack in between the life sciences and engineering building at 1:50 pm, the location is a very well transitted spot by members of the IIT community, it is about a 100 feet away from State Street. At around 6-6:30 pm as I was about to go home my bike was not on the rack, I checked for any evidence but there was none, both the lock and the bike were missing. A report was filled with IIT's public safety and with CPD.

Working in the garage and went to the back yard and left garage open longer than expected.

My bike was parked in the parking garage at Cook County Hospital where I work, and was locked to bike rack with U-lock as well as steel cable. Parked my bike at 9am and I passed through garage at 1:00pm it was missing. The bike as well as two locks were all gone from scene. The guy was looking at the bike, waited until the people walking left and then aproched the bike with a guy back and cut both of my locks and took off. It was captured in camera by my school security cameras.

Parked bike with u-lock outside of Will's Bar to visit a friend in a nearby apartment. When I came out to get it it was gone.

The bike was locked to a wooden railing on 4/2/19 and was taken either overnight or the day after. It was located in a fenced-in area behind the apartment building.

There is a hole in the metal fence to get to the back stairway of our building. Wooden railing was broken that bike was attached to and stolen.

I locked it up at 9:30am and it was gone by 3:45pm. I had a good quality lock, I can’t understand how they got through it unless I did not lock it properly.

Working at Jimmy Johns (2810 N Clark) on Clark and Diversey as a bike deliver and left the bike outside the shop window. Sometime between 10 and 11 the bike was taken from the window.

Late Monday night, March 25, someone tried to enter my unit through the back door, which has access to the basement where my bike was kept. It's possible this person took the bike.

My bike was locked at the 57th Street Metra station, under the underpass, third rack east of the station entrance.
