Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I left the bike locked in front of a restaurant on Fullerton and Kimball for 5 minutes, came outside and the rear wheel was gone. Based on talking to a couple people at the scene I believe someone from the immediate neighborhood took it.

Bike was kept inside of a closed apartment complex. Bike went missing and is presumably stolen.

Somebody stole my bike right out of the bike room in my building. Someone said they had the keys because the door wasn't tampered with. Then we found out that an elderly lady upstairs had dropped her keys right outside the door, so that's probably what happened. They just let themselves in. I miss my bike. Please help me get it back (I know it's a long shot)

Stolen from my back room, along with a Dewalt Sawzall while I was sleeping after work (pedicabbing).

Bike was stole from inside locked apartment complex.

CAME HOME AROUND 3PM ON SATURDAY 3/15, SAW GARAGE DOOR OPENED. ENTRY TO GARAGE IS UNKNOWN. BIKE WAS GONE, ULOCK THAT WAS RESTING ON SEAT WAS LEFT BEHIND. ADJACENT TO GARAGE, AN 80'S MOUNTAIN TREK WAS LEFT BEHIND. ASSUMPTION IS THAT SOMEONE PRIED GARAGE DOOR OPEN, THEN SWITCHED BIKES.

I returned home from work and left my bike outside, under the stairs to my apartment behind a locked gate. I stupidly forgot that I had left it outside and when I remembered this morning, it was gone.

put my bike down there on march 15th at 9.00Am went down there to take it out an March 17th 11Am and it was missing. there were 3 other bikes with mine and they were still there.only mine was stolen

Bike was left at midway orange line train station. Only locked front wheel to bike rack pole (newer u-lock w/flat key). Frame of bike and rear wheel stolen. Front wheel and lock intact when discovered.

I had driven out of my garage to go to work at about 7:15 a.m. I waited outside the garage until it closed (as I do every time) and did not come back until 10:30 p.m. that night (it was a long day for me). When I initially entered my garage through the back door, the door hit the bike. That is how I knew it was there. When I came home and went to exit through the back door of the garage, the bike was missing. At first I thought my father-in-law had taken it for a spin. I checked with him and he hadn't used it in months. I ran back down to the garage and saw that the cable lock that was used to lock the bike to my wife's bike (which was still there) had been cut. My wife's bike has an On Guard Bulldog U Lock between her frame and the front wheel. I'm not sure how the person got into my garage, which I believe to be locked and closed during the day, but they got to my bike and left without a trace.

Bike was locked up to a standard city bike rack over night (about 8 hours) on a snowy night and was gone in the morning. No idea why.

I always kept my bike on the basement of the building I live in as there are other bikes on site, and someone lives in the basement. I had the bike for over 8 months and always kept it there, I don't usually go out through the basement during winter and I only go down when doing laundry, that is when I realized my bike was gone and was the only one that was stolen. The entrance is usually locked and I find it weird that my bike was the only one stolen, making me think it was somebody that knew the bike was there.

I kept my bike in a garage with an automatic door. I thought the door had been closed, at which point only someone with a code could have entered. When I went to check the next day it was gone

My bike was located in my detached parking garage which has access from the alley. The garage doorway (human door not car door) is locked at all times and the alleyway only has access to the garage door. I share this garage space with 3 other cars (it is two, two car garages) and it seems that one of the garage doors was left open. Again, there was no forced entry through the locked door and it seems like the car garage door was left open so thieves just walked in.

The Rossin was locked in my garage with the other bike that was stolen. The door was forced open; the deadbolt splintered the frame. The thief(s) came in from the alley and appear to have left from the alley (no tracks in the snow leading to the front of my house).

The bike was in my locked garage (dead bolted) and stolen between Sunday Mar 2, 5:00 PM and Monday March 3, 4:00 PM, likely during the daytime on Monday as there was another theft in my neighborhood Monday afternoon. The side door to the garage was forced open (door splintered, frame cracked, etc.) and the bikes were taken.
