Huffy Savannah Cruiser w/ Custom Rear Fender

Basic Bike Info

Bicycle Type:
Cruiser / Comfort Bike
Size:
26" wheels women's frame
Color:
Purple and Tan
Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
This was a project bike of mine that I had locked up outside my house at Hoyne & Armitage. The rear fender was done up with ~30 LEDs that lit up at night. The bike can be otherwise distinguished by the Panasonic branded saddle, single front brake, and 7 speed shifter. The bike has slightly dirty white wall old-school tires and if you can spot it, a brand new SRAM chain. Jerks also took my very nice Kryptonite cable. I don't expect to get that back... I hope they enjoy it.

Lock Information

How was the lock defeated?:
Lock was cut, and left at the scene.
Lock Type:
Cable w/ Padlock
What was the bike locked to?:
Locked to a metal pole, pipe, or fence.

Incident Description

Which type of area was your bike stolen from?:
Porch or yard.
How was the bike locked?:
Locked through both wheels and frame to object.
How long was the bike locked in this location?:
4 days
Incident Description:
I believe that sometime during the day someone cut my lock (not a fantastic lock) and removed the kyrptonite cable and bike from behind my apartment's wrought iron fence. It's strange because the lock and everything was behind the fence so the person would likely have had to go down into my front porch area to cut the lock. It seems like passerby would have noticed this especially since my apartment is next to two very busy businesses: Starbucks and The Map Room.
