Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Locked it at night, came back and she was gone in the morning. Second Klein stolen! (First was out of DePaul bike room back in '99). Image is similar but not exact.

I rode to my university building (UIC Applied Health Sciences building) around 6pm to study inside. I locked it as I usually do in the bike racks in the front of the building. When I left at 11pm, I found the lock, cut, lying where the bike had been left. This area is well lit and typically there is security in the area, so I was very surprised that this happened. THe picture provided is not my own bike, but the same model and color (mine has white handlebar tape)

The bike was locked in front of the Merchandise Mart near the corner of Wells and Kenzie. The rear wheel was locked to the frame with a U-lock, and the front wheel was locked to the frame and the bike rack with a heavy-duty chain lock. This is a very busy area, so I am not sure how it was taken due to the heavy duty lock.

Bike was taken out of open garage.

apartment building was broken into, packages and bikes were taken.

When I returned to my home at 7 PM the bike was still in the lobby, when I went to leave at 1 PM the following afternoon, if the bike was gone.

Went to work at 9:00 am, locked the bike in front of taco burrito king. When work ended I went to receive bike and it was missing.

The building has yet to review the security tapes. I parked the bike in the bike racks behind the building at 9:15AM and it was missing at 6:15PM.

Bike was last seen leaning against no parking sign in front of 4142 N. Avers at 7:35pm. Was stolen sometime in the next 3 hours. Bike was not locked.

Tricycle was locked with rear wheel lock outside Newberry Library. Parked at 10:00 am, gone by 5:30 pm.

Bike was locked and compromised with something that generated sparks/fire

Came out of Bartlett Dining Commons at University of Chicago to look for bike. Bike was missing after it had been locked at dining commons for around 3 weeks. Lock also missing. Attempted to look for bike at other racks, but no success.

i locked my bike to the third bike rack from jackson blvd on la salle, outside wintrust at 231 s la salle. i locked it there around 910am and returned to it around 630 pm to see that it and the lock were both gone.

I live in a complex with a bunch of apartments. The entrance to our complex is gated and locked, and our apartment is near the back and cannot be seen from the street, so I have not been locking my bike. My roommate saw my bike in its usual place on our porch when he got home last night at 8 PM; and it was gone this morning (November 15th) when I left for work.

I parked the bike on the silver bike rack on the corner of State and Washington on Block 37 by the Disney Store at exactly 5:30pm. I went up climbing for 3 hours. Arrived back at bike location at exactly 8:30pm. Saw nothing but the cut bike lock. No bike, no witnesses. Still need to investigate nearby cameras. The bike had a Lagunitas Splatter Sticker on the body, with a "Walls were meant for climbing" sticker on top of that. and the handlebar tape is frayed. The pedals are clipless platform hybrid.

The bike was stolen while I was travelling that took the front whell out a grabbed the rest of it.

Went to an 11am movie at Landmark theater at Clark and Diversey. Parked and locked bike to city rack in front of the theater ~10:45am. Returned at 2:30pm to find bike and lock missing.
