Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Some guy in my building asked me whose bike that was, and it was mine. Almost like he knew, told me abo it a camera that didn’t work. Gone 2 days later after he asked. One of a kind Fizik Seat that says “TEST”

I came down to do laundry and discovered that both mine and my wife's bikes had been stolen together from the bike rack in our condo storage area.

I went to do laundry and found that both mine and my husband's bikes were stolen from our condo building's storage room. The building manager says they were not removed by him or any maintenance teams.

Bike locked in building storage facility where it gets locked every night, gone next day. Photo not of exact bike - seat and wheels are different.

Bike was chained to bike rack in apartment building closed private parking garage. Lock was heavy duty brand new kryptonite evolution series 4 steel chain. The bike and lock are both gone.

Via building camera, an African American male approximately 5'8" to 5'10" wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and backpack entered side garage door by prying open the door with some sort of tool. Once in the garage, the individual took time to cut through the Kryptonite U-Lock and then walked the bike out of the garage where he then rode away on it from there. Individual left door propped and stole at least 3 bikes in same fashion over an approximately 45 minute time span.

Could have been stolen anytime in the last month or so because I don't ride much in winter. Noticed missing on 1/3/21. Was locked with a combination of Kryptonite KryptoLok Series 2 STD U-Lock with 4' Flex Cable and Bracket: 4 x 9". The cable was left behind but the U-lock was gone with the bike.

Thieves broke into locked 6-car condo garage sometime Sunday night or early Monday; cut the cable on the trike lock, lifted trike over cars and carried it out the overhead garage door to the alley. They had climbed over a 6-ft fence to get access to the side (people) door of the garage; forced that open. Manually released the overhead (car) garage door to remove the trike. Ignored other bikes in the garage or any other perceived valuables except they did take a motorcycle lift. They also got into the storage rooms in the basement and picked a lock to steal someone's work tools. (Photo is same model & color trike but without all the accessories that mine had.)

Bike was stolen from a secure indoor condominium multi-car garage at ground level. Bike was locked with a Kryptonite lock to a pipe in my parking spot.

Thieves gained access to our building over the holidays. Bicycle was stolen from our locked basement along with another one of our bicycles. Cannondale bicycle is the model pictured except Blue in color. Thanks for your help.

My bike was stored on my 2nd story back porch as a result of our bike storage room being closed. The porch can be accessed by key only via the alley gate.

Two bikes were unlocked in an enclosed locked gated porch area right outside my back door. Only residents of the building (5 apartments) have access to this locked area. The bikes had been there for about two months before they went missing during a 1-2 hour window today. Someone had to have entered the enclosed porch area from the back alley, but it is unclear how they could have accessed this area and how they made away with two bikes down two flights of stairs without anyone noticing. Neighbors don’t report having seen or heard anything during this time.

The storage room door was left open. Believe a neighbor from the building next door saw the door open and went into the storage unit. The bike was not locked to anything in the storage unit.

Bike was locked to street sign. Went upstairs to friends apartment for 15 minutes, came back and bike and lock were both missing.
