Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

White male wearing yellow tshirt, black pants, black boots, black helmet rode a different bike through townhome area, saw open garage; got off his bike, rested it against a trash can, entered garage and removed bike from elevated rack. Rode away, leaving original bike, Captured on Nest cam.

Stolen from my garage in Oak Park, sometime in the afternoon on Labor Day.

The bike was located inside of a private, 2 door, residential garage that is shared with 1 other tenant. Either the shared tenant left the door open or a key was obtained illegally. Someone entered over Labor Day weekend while I was out of town and stole the bike.

Bike was stolen from the garage. I don't yet know how the burglars accessed the garage.

Bike was locked to city bike rack outside of 1647 N Milwaukee (Trek Bike Wicker Park); secured with a Kryptonite Evolution series 4 1090 Integrated Chain (chain is missing along with bike) 2nd theft of this bike in the past 2 weeks (stolen from inside apartment building @ 1958 W Chicago Ave on 8/26)

Left the bike locked to a fence in my gf's yard and it was stolen, most likely at night

Between 9-10 pm two bikes were stolen out front of Macs bar on corner of wood and division. Witnesses saw three young black men, maybe 18 years old, at the scene. One played look out and wore a white shirt and dark hat. The other two cut the lock and took the bikes. One was wearing a dark hoodie. They were seen heading to corner of Cortez and Wood where they hung out in the alley for awhile before heading to Chicago and wood.

Bike room at apartment complex in Rogers Park, Chicago was raided. Many bikes stolen, including this one!

Found lock to be cut upon returning to bicycle on the side street (Wood) to Macs Wood Grill 1801 w division st.

Bike was left on locked and enclosed back deck around 9 PM 9/5. Discovered missing around 7 AM 9/6. Bike hooks on side of deck so bike would have been visible from the alley.

Went to lunch at Ukrainian village, only a block away came back and it was locked outside the bank at the corner of Damon Ave and Division. Came back and it was all gone

Working in open garage. Stepped inside for 2 minutes to clean a paintbrush. Bike gone when I returned.

Bike was locked to street sign around midnight, went to retrieve it around 11am. Cable cord with key padlock was cut and left at scene.

This is one of TWO BMC mountian bike hard tails that were stolen out of our garage at 245am on September 1. The man was spotted on camera riding off with both mountain bikes in the Ravenswood area. The man is about 5'8", short hair, had a faded Illinois baseball cap on. Definitely a planned and not an opportunist. this occured at the 4800 block of N Hoyne Ave and N Hamilton Ave

The bike was locked to a metal bike rack at the intersection of Wacker and Dearborn in downtown Chicago at the south east corner of the bridge (next to the Riverwalk entrance). I had locked the bike securely with a U lock to the metal pole via the rear wheel and bike frame at around 1pm on 9/4/2020. When I returned to the scene at about 3pm I found the bike and lock missing. Instead there was another blue old bike parked in its location. This bike was not locked so I suspect the person who rode this bike left it at the spot and stole my bike instead.

Broke into our garage and stole TWO BMC mountain bike hard tails. One was a medium and the other was an XS. We believe the guy cased us, not an opportunist. We were able to catch him on a neighbors camera exiting the alley. We live in Ravenswood on the 4800 block of N Hoyne Ave. This occurred at 245am. The man is about 5’8”, fairly built, short hair, no visible tattoos.

Man walked up, got on the bike, and rode away. Appeared to go south on the sidewalk to Armitage, then turn right to go west on Armitage towards Halsted. Lost sight of him after that.

Locked bicycle, frame and front wheel, two in ground bike rack. 15 minutes later it was gone.
