Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The bike was locked to a wooden railing on 4/2/19 and was taken either overnight or the day after. It was located in a fenced-in area behind the apartment building.

There is a hole in the metal fence to get to the back stairway of our building. Wooden railing was broken that bike was attached to and stolen.

I locked it up at 9:30am and it was gone by 3:45pm. I had a good quality lock, I can’t understand how they got through it unless I did not lock it properly.

Working at Jimmy Johns (2810 N Clark) on Clark and Diversey as a bike deliver and left the bike outside the shop window. Sometime between 10 and 11 the bike was taken from the window.

Late Monday night, March 25, someone tried to enter my unit through the back door, which has access to the basement where my bike was kept. It's possible this person took the bike.

My bike was locked at the 57th Street Metra station, under the underpass, third rack east of the station entrance.

I shoped in Target by Broadway I was gone 15 mins and I went out and it was gone.

Bike was in private garage which was left open by a neighbor. When returning home, the bike was missing from the garage.

My bike was tucked behind my porch in the back yard of my apartment. It is always kept back there, usually locked. My backyard is tucked away out of sight, and someone wouldn't be able to have access without walking through 2 other yards and through a private parking lot.

Bike was stolen from my home between 4:30pm and 8pm on March 16th. Person may have been seen with bike around the intersection of Augusta and Washtenaw.

Bike was locked to a street lamp, it’s a new building but no bike racks have been installed yet. Saw bike at 5:30pm and when I came out at 8:30/9pm it was gone.

The bike was locked as well as possible. A kryptonite lock and a kryptoflex cable secured both wheels and the frame. It was locked to a bike rack. The thieves used a bolt cutter to remove the lock, took both bike and cable. This happened in front of the social science building at the University of Chicago. I am inconsolable - I loved that bike.

Police report was filed the same day of the incident. R.D. No. JC151997 The bicycle was used daily. The last time I saw the bike was February 13th at 6am. The bicycle was found missing on February 14th at 5:15am. The theft happened in the middle of the night prior to me coming down into the bike room. The thief was caught on camera. The Chicago Police have still not come to pick up the footage to add to the police report. The thief entered the apartment complex using a screwdriver and went down into the basement where he broke into the bike room and stole two bikes, one of which were mine.

Bike was locked with U-lock to a railing outside 515 N. State Street in downtown Chicago. I left the bike for three hours and it was gone upon return. The lock was missing with the bike. Occurred around 2-3pm IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
