I arrived home and unlocked front gate, walked bike into enclosed front yard and leaned it against the wall. I stepped back up onto the sidewalk to pull some weeds for a minute. In the two minutes I was pulling weeds someone had entered in my back gate seen my bike, walked within 10 feet of me to steal it and walk back out the back gate. This same man (caught on our camera) is suspected in another burglary down the block.

Painted grey, no markings. One break on the right side handlebar. Honestly it was probably stolen previously and disguised, hence the no markings. Sounds like karma. Anyways, I bought it off FB marketplace four hours before it was stolen. It's a simple bike with no fixings. It was stolen off my front porch on Fairfield Ave in Logan Square. Not a busy street so it's likely someone in the area. I didn't have my bike lock back yet from my old bike which was kept a few streets away so I wasn't able to lock it yet. My boyfriend saw it when he left for work, and when I went down to take it to ride a half hour later is was gone. Attached photo is from the listing as I don't have any of my own photos. I would love to feel like I didn't just throw money in the trash so please let me know if you see it.

My bicycle was locked to the vertical spindles of the rear porch railing at 2148 N. Halsted with a Kryptonite U-lock and a cable lock. I was out of town between Friday morning 10/12/18 and Sunday evening 10/14/18. When I returned on Sunday the bike and the Kryptonite lock were gone. The cable lock was cut and the top of the railing was removed. My guess is that after the cable lock was cut the top railing was removed and the bike was lifted off the vertical spindles along with the Kryptonite U-lock and carried away.
