Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Both locks cut and left at scene.

Bike was locked outside of office at 7:45am and noticed it was gone without a trace when I left at 5:30pm.

My bike must have been stolen during the work day, I walked by this morning on my way to work. There was a red bike in its place-whoever took it must've just "swapped".

My bike was locked to a fence outside of a friend's apartment (in a gated courtyard). Overnight, the lock was cut and the bike was stolen.

The bike was locked outside the Barnes and Noble book store on the University of Chicago campus just before 9 am. It was seen again at 11:50. Upon returning at 6:45, the bike was gone, the cable that had been securing it was cut and on the ground, along with the helmet which had been locked to the bike.

Bike stolen from third floor back deck, in locked and gated back entrance. It's a large black bike from Retrospec in basically new condition. It has red wheel wells and custom horned handle bars

I parked my bike in front of Cohn building in Rush University Medical Center. I double checked the lock was engaged or not by pulling the lock before left the site. So I am very positive about the lock was engaged.

My bike has been locked to this pole during daylight hours if I am running errands or going in and out of the house, and due to the weather, this has been more frequently. Last night it was locked there and was completely gone by the morning. Upon closer inspection, it was a newly "suckered" pole.

I locked my bike at around 7:30pm and when I woke up to ride it at 6:00 it was missing. My bike was locked to a rack with 10-15 other bikes. When I looked in the morning, there was a bike without a lock on it that was still there. Maybe that was the stealer's!

The last time I used my bicycle was Sunday, July 24th at around 2:00pm. I discovered that the bike was missing the morning of Wednesday, July 27th at around 8:30am. The bike was attached to the metal fence with a steel combination lock on the western side of the property. A clear plastic tarp covered the bike to protect it from rain; the tarp is not missing.

Bike and kryptonite lock missing in entirety. Confirmed still there Monday night (7/25) determined missing by Tuesday night (7/26)

Went inside to leash up some pups and in less than 5 mins it was taken from right outside. 20 minutes later I saw the thief riding north on Lincoln just past Webster but couldn't follow.

Black and Gray Specialized Boys 24 in Bike was stolen from outside of my home. It was only there for 10 minutes. A neighbor saw the theft. It was a middle aged man with a black backpack. Salt and pepper hair.

Bike was inside back of locked vehicle, robber somehow unlocked the vehicle and stole all of my contents, vehicle jack, diehard jumpstart battery, case of water and 2011 trek hybrid bike.

Bike went missing between 1:30pm and 5:05pm from bike rack behind the Anatomy building (close to Cobb Gate) on the University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park, Chicago
