Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I live in a complex with a bunch of apartments. The entrance to our complex is gated and locked, and our apartment is near the back and cannot be seen from the street, so I have not been locking my bike. My roommate saw my bike in its usual place on our porch when he got home last night at 8 PM; and it was gone this morning (November 15th) when I left for work.

I parked the bike on the silver bike rack on the corner of State and Washington on Block 37 by the Disney Store at exactly 5:30pm. I went up climbing for 3 hours. Arrived back at bike location at exactly 8:30pm. Saw nothing but the cut bike lock. No bike, no witnesses. Still need to investigate nearby cameras. The bike had a Lagunitas Splatter Sticker on the body, with a "Walls were meant for climbing" sticker on top of that. and the handlebar tape is frayed. The pedals are clipless platform hybrid.

Stolen from SE corner of Franklin/Madison in front of Argro Tea Cafe in the Chicago Loop - passed by while returning to office and bike was there, but was gone 15 mins later upon returning to leave Bike was locked with 3 separate locks to bike rack - U lock to frame and rack, and standard cable lock to front wheel, frame, and rack, and standard cable lock to rear wheel, seat, frame, and rack Received photo and video of suspicious person from a bystander who claims to recognize person from local bike theft FB group

The bike was stolen while I was travelling that took the front whell out a grabbed the rest of it.

Went to an 11am movie at Landmark theater at Clark and Diversey. Parked and locked bike to city rack in front of the theater ~10:45am. Returned at 2:30pm to find bike and lock missing.

I left the bike at the Clybourn train station in the morning and when I returned from work it was completely gone.

Bike was locked up but everything is gone. No lock. No bike. No witnesses. No cameras.

Bike was locked with a U-lock and cable outside 155 N Wacker and stolen between the hours of 11pm-4pm.

Bike was unlocked on second-floor deck behind locked gate. Bike was stolen sometime yesterday while we were out.

Accidentally left garage door open. Thief came in and took two bikes

Bike was locked to third floor porch in an enclosed backyard where only entrances were locked with deadbolts. Porch bannister was shattered to take bike.

I arrived to the rack around 6:45am. The manager of the East Bank Club (400 N Kingsbury) checked on the security video and determined that a car pulled off in front of my bike at 7:40am, one guy came out of the car, the car left and the guy then proceeded to cut the lock. Later on he left with the bike. When I came out of the club ready to bike at 9:00am, found my bike was gone and the lcok was left, cut, still hooked to the rack.

We live at Marina City. The bike was locked on the bike rack that is next to the busy entrance door to the east tower. There are valets always there 24 hours a day plus security guards at the hotel next door. We don't know exactly when the bike was taken, we just discovered it gone Friday morning with the lock cleanly cut off.

The bike was left locked on the sidewalk bike rack in front of my office building. Locked at approximately 8:30 AM and was gone by the time I left the office at around 4:30 PM. No camera footage could be collected. I was told by bank workers whose window faces bike rack directly that an older white caucasian male was seen outside and appeared to be "working" along the sidewalk near the rack. One of the workers remembered seeing sparks and only about a three-inch piece of my U-lock was left at the scene. The cuts were clean.

I left my bicycle locked to the parking sign in front of the salon and went in to get a haircut. When I came out 30 minutes later it was gone

Bike was stolen on 10/28 between 1130CST and 530CST

I locked up my bike to the racks inside the Damen blue line station around 6:20am and when I returned at 4:45pm it was gone. I also had my white helmet locked to the bike.
