Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I am a bike delivery guy for Jimmy John's on the corner of Ogden and Grand located next to Starbucks. I left it out back real quick after my last delivery to go inside and grab all of my things to leave work and when I went back to leave it was gone. The bike is in a MAJOR need of work so I believe it will make it's way into a bike shop VERY SOON.

Pedal had snapped off of the crank earlier in the week, so bike was stowed beneath the stairs in the back of the house, behind a locked gate. Was assumed safe since broken and in a non-visible location, so was not locked.

I opened my door and leaned my bike to the side and stepped inside and put down my backpack. I came out probably 15 seconds later to find my bike to be missing.

I set the bike against my back porch door while I went inside to take off my sweater. When I came back out less than a minute later the locked back gate had been compromised and the bike was gone.

The bike was locked up with a U-lock and cable to two other bikes and against porch railing with the stolen bike closest to the railing. The lock was broken and the cable cut.

The bike was parked outside of my school, Northside college prep. I parked the bike at 8am, and when I returned at 3:30, the lock was cut and the bike was gone. I filed a report with the school and am going to file a police report.

Between 2:30 and 4pm the garage doors malfunctioned and the bike was exposed to view. Likely someone took it to sell it. It is large and very heavy

Female,Hammond Resident Robbed and stalked at Starbucks Cafe, Located at One East Delaware in the City of Chicago, Gold Coast area. On the night of Oct 2, 2012 I arrived at 5:23 p.m. and 31 seconds at Starbucks Cafe and proceeded to lock my bike. She purchases an order and sat down by the window. When she looked out, her bike was missing. The video footage is documented next door. The thief flees at 5:26 and 49 seconds. It took the thief, one minute and four seconds to complete the act. A limosine driver was a witness but refused to cooperate.

The bike was locked to a bike rack in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art on the corner of Chicago Avenue and Mies Van Der Rohe Way at 6:00 PM. It was locked with a cable that passed through both wheels and around the monotube of the frame (it is a small and unusual shape for a bike) and was secured with a mini U-lock (with flat key) to a bike rack. When I returned at 7:00 PM, the bike was gone and there was no sign of the lock or cable. It could have been stolen by cutting either the cable or the mini U-lock, but I suspect that it would be easier to cut the cable.

Rode my bike in to work at One North Wacker Drive - Locked on the rack behind the building in the alley at about 8:30AM - Went to retrieve at 5:15PM to find the lock was cut and bike was gone.

The garage at my house was left open.

Four bikes were sitting under apartment stairs back behind building in a typically locked parking lot and all four had been there for quite some time. The gate for the parking lot broke and was left open for one night. Two of the bikes were stolen at once overnight, the other two were left below the stairs. Appreciate any information on my bike.

The Bike was stolen on Sep 11th, 2012 from the Main St Metra station in Evanston, IL

I had locked the bike up on Ashland Ave., underneath the viaduct at the Metra Clybourn stop on Saturday afternoon, September 29th. On Monday morning, October 1st, I came downstairs and it was gone. I locked the bike's front tire and frame to the bike lock with a U-Lock, and locked the rear tire to the frame with a cable lock.

The garage door was last closed at 1 p.m. Friday afternoon. Sometime between Friday afternoon and Saturday at noon, the garage door was pried open and the bike was stolen.

I had the bike locked up to my porch and was inside all day. The incident happened approximately at 1:30pm and there were two unfamiliar men on my porch around that time who I assumed were neighbors from up/downstairs. They both had short hair if not shaved heads, although I did not get a good look. before taking my bike, lock and helmet, they ripped a bar off of my porch which the bike was locked to.

Bike was lock up at the Fullerton "L" station for a matter of hours and was simply gone upon my return with the U-lock still there.

The bike was locked to a street sign pole in front of my building at 600 S Dearborn on Friday evening. I usually bring the bike up to my apt but figured I'd be riding it the next day. It then proceeded to rain all day Sat and Sun so I never went back to get it. Monday evening at 6pm I went to see if it was alright and it was gone along with any sign of the lock or anything. It was locked up next to some scaffolding that spans the whole front of the 600 S Dearborn building.

Brand new Ulock was cut and a part of it was left at the scene. Bike was stolen from 4721 N Lincoln Ave
