Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I locked it on a bike rack outside my friend’s apartment at 8:00pm on a Friday night, June 22. At 8am the next morning on June 23rd, I went outside to look for it and the lock was cut and left at the scene

Bike was locked outside in front of buildings fence near one of the bedrooms windows. Came out about two hours later to go do food delivery and bike was gone, cable cut off. To see clear picture go on offer up and search motobecane

Bike has been stored in residential building secure garage, accessible only by key or programmed garage door opener. Bike was in designated parking space this morning when I left the garage around 10:15. When I returned around 1:30pm, it was missing. Looks like at least one other bike from the garage was also missing.

Left the bike outside overnight for the first time - locked to a tree. Next morning woke up with it missing, cable cut and the gate open.

My bike was stolen from a rack with several other bikes under the overhang to the UIC Science and Engineering South. It was locked there from 2:00-3:40 while I had class. I think someone guessed the tumbler combo as the lock was not there.

Left bike there after work as I always do. This morning it was gone.

I locked my bike outside of LG's bar on Wells Street in Old Town and sat at an outdoor table at the patio with my bike no more than 20 feet from me. I ordered a drink and noticed my bike was missing before my drink even arrived. The Manager at the bar reviewed the security footage and can see a white male wearing a black t-shirt and black bike helmet ride up on a bike to the area where I locked my bike. He hangs around for a few minutes and then rides off on the bike he approached on. A few minutes later he returned on foot and rode away on my white Novara bike. When the manager came over to tell us what was on the tape, my husband remembers seeing the man and told us he thought it was strange that he was hanging out there but it was a busy night with lots of people around so he didn't continue to watch him. I have the U-lock and cut cable in my possession.

I got home at midnight and left my bike unlocked on my back porch. When I went out around 2PM 6/20/2018 it was still there. When I left again at 5:00pm 6/20/2018 it was missing

I left the bike against my garage in and enclosed area, ran upstairs to use the bathroom, came back out 10 minutes later and the bike was gone.

I was working at the college of nursing at UIC (845 S Damen). I had the bike locked to a rack adjacent to the main entrance of the building. Pretty busy and open pedestrian area. Cameras on premises. When I stepped outside to head home bicycle was gone. Immediately contacted UIC police and filed report.

at 4:45 PM on 6/19/2018, I locked the bike to the bike racks at the front of the 2836 N Clark St parking garage. When I returned at approximately 6:00 PM, the bike as well as the blue folding link lock were gone.

my roommate heard a sawing noise, look outside to see man with a blue hat, black coat, leaned over my bike. they had a short yelling exchange before he jumped on bike and biked off.

Occurred on Franklin Street in front of Studio41. Bolt removed from base of street sign. The pole must have been removed and the bike/lock slid off. It was locked right next to the alley behind Donut Vault. A lot of traffic around the block. Locked at 9am but didnt notice it missing for several hours.

I left the bike underneath the Metra station at Ravenswood, locked, as I went to work. When I returned it was gone, along with the lock.

Our garage was open and someone walked in and simply took the bike. We still do not know how the garage was opened...

It was locked up on my the metal porch rail behind a wheelchair lift on a residential street where I worked. I had had seen it at 1am, but when my shift was over at 8am it was gone.

Around 3:00pm i arrived at Dollop Cafe Co, corner of Plymouth Ct & Van Buren (343 S. Dearborn St.). I locked my bike frame to the sidewalk Stop sign that is on the corner in front of the main entrance. Direct line of sight to the baristas/coffee bar. I went in to the coffee shop where i stayed till about 5:30 pm. When i came out the bike was stolen. No parts or lock remained.
