Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I got to school, Mather High School, this morning and parked by bike at the bike rack outside Door 1 of the school building and locked it at 7:45am. After school, as I exited the building at around 4pm, I saw that my bike was missing and that the lock was lying on the ground. The lock was a black combination lock, was in perfect condition when I saw it, and still worked. I do not know who could have stolen my bike. Last week, a classmate of mine got his bike stolen from a homeless man, after viewing the security camera footage with the school principal.

The bike was in the apartment building's bike shed. It was locked to a bike rack with a kryptonite u-lock plus flex cable. The cable was snapped but the u-lock remained untouched and attached to the front wheel and the bike rack. Both the bike shed's door and the building's side gate didn't show any signs of forced entry.

My bike was locked underneath the stairs in the shared yard area of my building that is fenced in and locked. Unsure if there are cameras outside

Bike was stolen off the landing of condo building hallway on the 4th floor. Was gone on honeymoon for two weeks from September 27 - October 12. Unsure of exact time or date. Looking into cameras to get a better idea

I was going down the elevator on my way to work. And as I got off I looked at the bike rack that is inside the apartment building and noticed my bike along with the lock was missing. I had seen it the day before yesterday was the last time I seen it.

Bike stolen outside of Estereo by a man who cut through the u-lock.

Trespassers hopped locked fence and stole bike from residential garage. Happened overnight 10/14 into 10/15

Two bikes stolen out of garage at private home. Trespassers hopped either alley or front gate/fence which were both locked.

Location were bike went missing was a bike rack on UIC west campus. Bike was parked by the bike rack near a tree in front of the entrance to the left of the western COMRB entrance (facing Student Center West) around 11am. Accidentally forgot to lock the bike to the bike rack. Came back around 3pm to check on bike due to the rain, only to find the bike was gone.

I noticed the bike was stolen this morning, at 5am- it was still in the back courtyard yesterday. The bike is usually locked, but we didn’t lock it this past weekend. It looks like someone climbed over the fence & then used a sofa from our neighbor’s patio furniture to climb back over to the alley.

Bike was taken directly out of garage while we were loading the kids into the minivan. Brazen, day-light theft with 1-2 witnesses. Thief took off down the alleyway and down Belmont St before disappearing.

Came out to my garage and my bike was missing. It was a closed garage with access only to residents… lock was attached to bike but not locked to anywhere. So it may still be on there. Logan square hermosa area

The bike was locked to the rack in the red line CTA train Loyola station. The lock was in a good condition so it should've been cut.

Bike was locked in a bike room of an apartment complex alongside other bikes. Exact date of theft is unknown as the bike hadn't been ridden within the last 2-3 weeks.

My Bike was left in my friends backyard unlocked and i’m guessing when they were out of town, someone hopped over and took it.

Bike was locked to rack in park on south side of Senn High School. Property belongs to Chicago Park District adjacent to Basketball Court 41°59'19.1"N 87°40'04.4"W

Bike was locked to a fence at Amundsen High School at 7:40am, was missing when school let out. The helmet was also locked to the bike. The grey bike has front and back click lights.
