Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I parked my bike in front of my office building, locking it with a Bulldog U-Lock on one of the bike stands available, at around 9:40/10am. I worked all day and left for an event at the Field Museum, leaving the office through the doors at Wacker Drive. I got in a cab and came back to the office around 1:30/2 hours after I left, between 8:30/8:45pm. When I went to get my bike to go back home, it wasn't at the place I left it anymore.

Bike was locked outside of Spilt Milk bar. If not locked, the u-lock will still be attached to bike rack.

Bike was locked to bike rack at Clyborn Metra stop parking lot off of Armitage using 2 cable combination locks. Locks were broken and bike taken sometime between 8am and 7pm.

Bicycle was left behind house unlocked for ~15 minutes behind a closed gate and fence 30 yards from sidewalk, not readily visible. Other larceny attempts were made at adjacent houses at the same time.

The last time I saw my bike was that Friday late evening the 25th. I first noticed my bike was missing on Saturday afternoon on the 26th. I was going to check my tires because I had the Chicago triathlon the next day and it was gone.

The bicycle was locked to a street sign on the corner of Kimball and Berteau via a U-lock through the front wheel and frame. It was there for about four hours. When I went to retrieve the bike, it was gone. I recovered the lock, which had been sawed through.

Three of my daughters bikes were in our foyer area that is locked. Someone must have let them in to take them.

Came home at 7:30 and bike was there with the other two. Went back out to walk the dog at 10 and three bikes were gone from our locked storage area.

CTA re-positioned bike racks at CTA South Blvd Evanston stop and claimed that the didn't move the bikes.

We left town Saturday afternoon and the bike was in the garage hanging from hooks in the rafters. We got a call form the neighbors that our garage door was open and when we got home the bike was gone and a few other items were taken. My car was gone through and items of value were left behind and my wife's bike was left behind, I'm guessing this was some kids or amateurs from the way it was done.

I locked my bike around 10:30 and went to the Contemporary Art Museum (bought ticket at 10:36). I looked outside through the museum shop window around 11:45 and saw my bike. Then I bought a book, came out around noon and the bike was missing. I asked several people sitting/standing nearby and nobody saw anything. Asked museum shop staff if they have a security camera and they said no. At 12:25 i called 911 to report the missing bike, was given police report # JA415948.

Bike was inside patio which has a locked gate. Came home from work around 10pm and noticed the front gate was open. Someone must have jumped the gate and taken the bike out. I left home around 11:30am so it was taken between then and 10pm.

Locked with a U-lock and a cable to a bike rack outside 2950 W Chicago Ave between 8:45pm to 9:10pm.

Bike was locked to speed limit sign post on Logan Boulevard in front of Mi Tocaya restaurant. Returned at 11:15pm and bike was stolen. The U-lock is also gone.

Looks like they probably used bolt cutters on the U arm right next to where it connects to the locking point. Must have been quick because I wasn't away from the bike for long.

I have been working for a family at 3631 N Greenview Ave for two months and I've been locking my bike up at a street sign pole in front of 3625 N Greenview Ave whenever I work (overnights, usually Sun/Tues/Thurs from 10p-7a). I locked up at approx 9:50pm last night, when i went to leave this morning, my bike was gone, lock and all.

My friend, who has been using the bike all summer, rode the bike to the gym in Boystown (on Halsted) and locked it where he always locks it. When he left the gym, the bike and the lock were gone. Another bike parked nearby was missing its seat.
