Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The Schwinn High Plains Black 21" was in front of Ciclo Urbano and was locked up to multiple display bikes. At 2:15pm the thief enters surveillance camera frame and at 2:28pm the thief cuts the cable and rides off with the bicycle.

Was in a common area shared by seven units of condo building, where it was parked with two other bikes right outside my door. Have parked bikes there for years. Entry from the outside requires going through a locked gate on the outside and a locked door on the building, though people can be buzzed in. Not sure how thief got in, but there was no sign of forced entry (e.g., no damage to doors).

Bikes have been stolen from our garage a few times however there were much more valuable and bikes that were unlocked. Mine was at the end. To get in, they must have jumped the bike fence, followed a car in our out of entered via our building (resident or buzzed in by a resident).

Thief broke garage door and knobs and entered garage.

I walked down to the garage to leave for work, then realized the garage was open, and my bike was missing. I know it had just recently happened because the tire tracks were still fresh. The garage door was locked over night.

Bike was left in the bike storage area of the condo basement. Many bikes stored there. Last seen 3pm 12/14

Street sign (contained permit and street cleaning info) was cleanly cut down and bike (w/ lock attached) was stolen off of the stump of the sign. Sign was left in grass.

Not sure exactly when the bike was stolen. The garage was forced into sometime between December 9th afternoon and December 10th morning.

Some time between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Friday December 6, my bike was taken from our locked, enclosed back porch.

My Bike was locked to the Bike Rack in front of the Irving Park Blue Line Stop between Noon and 3:30pm. Someone at this time got through my back wheel guard and stole my Purple Infinity Frame and custom gold spoke back wheel. This is very important to me as a dear friend custom made these wheels for me. If you see this wheel anywhere, please contact me and the police.

In front of McKinley Park Library on 35th

I noticed this morning the back door to the storage area of building was wide open. Other building tenant saw bike was not in Garage. Another bike that was in the Garage is also missing. When I saw the door wide open I assumed another tenant had forgotten to close it or the wind blew it open. My guess is that someone came in through the back gate and entered the garage and carried the bike out. It is a heavy bike with a integrated rear wheel lock and the front wheel and frame secured with a heavy duty chain lock. It would have had to have been carried away.

I left it on the porch in the backyard and it isn't visible at all from the alley. The only way for someone to see it was for them to walk into the yard all the way to the steps that lead to both porches and all the apartment back door entrances. My bike was on the first level of the porch.

Stolen between 2:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on 12/02/13. Was locked to bike rack in front AKIRA / Urban Outfitters on Diversey.

Bike was locked in personal storage space. There is a common outer door, each space has own lock. Locks were not broken.

Bike was stored in personal, locked storage space. There is an outer door that is common and each storage unit has its own door. Person must live here because they knew exactly what unit to go to and they only took two bikes out of the three in there. Nothing else missing.

Bike was inside locked back hallway of 3543 N Southport (Paper Source) while at work. Bike was removed sometime between 2:15-5:30pm. Unfortunately, we currently don't have a picture of bike.

Our bikes were stolen from our garage in the early hours of Thanksgiving Day. They were locked with U-bolts to metal bars we had screwed (with un-retractable screws) to the studs in the garage. The wood was old so they just wrenched them free by breaking the wood.
