It was in fairly good condition, some wear on the seat, the only really distinguishing feature that I remember is that I installed a schwinn drink holder to the frame, and tightened the screw just a bit to tight, so I slighlty broke the holder, not a noticeable amount,since it still held the drink, but if you looked up close you could see the cracks.

Incident Description: 
I had it locked to the no parking/tow away zone sign next to the train station, since they would not allow me to take the bycicle home on the Metra train. Since I knew I would be around late on Tuesday, and I was under the impression that the road usually had people coming/going, as well as both CPD, and Metra police patrolling the area, that the bike would be safe. Apparently the criminal(s) were able to remove the screw that held the sign to its base, and lift it out, in order to get the bycicle without needing to spend the time cutting the lock right there. There was a camera nearby, but to my chagrin the security guard of the building let me know that I had locked my bike in one of the few spots the camera did not capture.

At 12:00 on 8/17, I noticed my bike was missing and the railing was snapped where my bike was locked. I spoke with my neighbors, and one reported it was missing she came home at 10PM 8/16. I found the piece of railing in a local neighbor's yard, and they reported that it was not there yesterday 8/16.

There are a few scratches on the frame but other than that it's in great shape. It has reflectors on the spokes, the standard seat. The seat has a small cord attached to it to prevent theft of the seat and post.

My bicycle was just stolen (Aug 16, 2009) from the Barnes and Noble at 1414 W. Webster Ave in Chicago at about 8pm. It was locked to a bike rack directly in front of the store with a cable lock. (Usually I use two locks but I forgot my U-Lock.) It is a black Cannondale Bad Boy size Medium with front and rear lights. It also has a place on the frame just under the seat to attach a U-Lock. Locks on front and rear gates were in tact, thief had to have jumped fence and threw bike over fence, either rode away or escaped with bike in car.

My single speed Silver/chrome Giant Bowery was stolen from outside my apartment last night (800 block of Cornelia, Cornelia and Fremont) -Wigglyville/Lakeview it has all the decals taken off of it and has many scratches on it. it has black bar tape that is also torn up. Armadillo tires, womens specialized seat (with pink dimond towards the front.) at the time it had the wiring for an odometer, but no odometer attached and a black bell that is scratched up. There was also a red milk crate attached to the back of it and an orange spoke card.

I had the bike locked to an iron fence about 10 feet away from my living room window. I was inside side for about an hour. Came outside and my bike was gone. Found some plier grips in the grass by where my bike was locked. I used one of those stupid cheap kryptonite cable locks. I use to use it when I was only locking my bike up for a short time. Lesson learned.

This is a mint green womens GT mountain bike, 21 speed. Wheel size 26, frame 16. The bicycle had a plastic connector on the handlebars with a red button(attachment for a bike basket). There is also a black plastic piece sticking up out of the end of the handlebar on the left side, the remains of a bike mirror which broke off. It also had an very visible attachment on the back wheel which is a black metal bar which is attached to the axle and goes back from there, it sticks out slightly past the back of the rear tire and say K9 Cruiser on it (faded letters). The bike seat was a black 8" gel seat with grey on the sides and a logo. There was also a sticker on the bike for Rudy's Chicago (bike shop.) Bike was registered with the police so if you think you see it please call the Chicago police (911) and report it, they have the serial number on file and should be able to ID it.

I just came home from a trip today and found that my bike was stolen, along with my bicycle attachment (K9 Cruiser)... The bike lock was cut. There were other people here in the house when it was stolen, probably asleep. It must have happened overnight because the yard gate was found open in the morning. My dog almost was lost as well because a family member let her out in the morning not knowing the gate was open... The bike is registered with the police so if you think you see it please call the Chicago police (911) and report it, they have the serial number on file and should be able to ID it.

Returned from outing to find main garage door and side door open. Nothing else removed from garage including boxed computer and boxed hitch. had purchased bike 3 weeks earlier 7/18 from On the Route Bicycles. Only unusual detail that may make this a targeted heist is that our area had a string of break-ins two years ago but our garage was not hit. We buy a bike and within three weeks it is taken. Hadn't even had time to take a photo of the bike.
