Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The bike was locked to a metal fence. It was there all morning and when checked again at 5pm, it was gone along with the lock.

Bike was inside a wrought iron fence. , on coming home found my helmet, water bottle, and lock thrown in the bushes on my driveway

I used my bike to move a piece of furniture to my studio apartment. I set the bike down in the alley to move the furniture upstairs, and forgotten to lock it up. Realizing my mistake about 30 minutes later, I came outside to find it gone :(.

Bike stolen from garage.

Back door into my building was kicked in and they ran into the back room of my apartment where my bikes were hanging. This was my bike repair and storage room. Rear door has a deadbolt lock. Someone with a small foot(shoe size approx. 8.5-9.5) kicked the door in.

Bike was in a closed and locked garage. Only bike was stolen from the garage. No other items were missing.

Stolen from front of office building with glass on the ground floor, but left 2 other bikes alone. I'm guessing they liked it cause it's cute.

Hispanic man in baseball hat, messenger bag with orange decals, came into my garage while my wife was unloading groceries, shoved her, and took the bike, leaving his outside. Approximately 30-40 years old, 5'6", 150 lbs, closely-shaved dark beard.

It was leaning against our garage door in the driveway on a quiet/low-crime residential street. Sometimes teenagers or adults walk by on their way to the lake late at night on warm nights. Also our house is near Northwestern which just came back into session and has lots of students looking for bikes, I had a great lock and helmet in the saddlebag but forgot to lock or bring the bike into the garage. This time I didn't park the car in the driveway making the bike very obvious to passers by. My fault all-round. The photo is of a Gazelle very similar to mine. Same shape (except for chain cover), same base color except my handlebars were black. Missing my saddlebags and teh silvery-lavender and yellow-green design near the Gazelle insignia.

Most likely happen Sunday night. Was last seen at 8pm, gone Monday morning at 10am.

Bike locked to a bike rack on the street between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on 9/18/16. Cable lock cut and left at the scene.

Bike was inside building hallway, up a flight of stairs, locked to a small shelf in the hallway. Thief took shelf and bike down the stairs, broke the shelf up on the street and carried the bike away

Parked the bike at Kimball brown line stop to go downtown, and upon arrival of 1-2am the next day, the bike and lock was completely missing.

We got home got home on Saturday around 11:30 pm. Woke up on Saturday morning and the bike was missing from the front yard of our apartment building.

Bike was locked up outside of Riot Fest on the fence just west of the entrance on Sacramento and Ogden. Numerous other bikes were in the area as well as police and other security. A thief still managed to cut both cable locks and remove the bike in broad daylight. Once I realized my bike had been stolen, I stayed near the area to try and find a police office to file a report as well as look for indications of which direction the thief might have gone. In that time, I observed two other middle-aged, African American, males who seemed to be 'casing' the area looking for other target bikes to steal. When I saw them checking out bikes while walking along the fence, I asked them 'is that your bike?' and in both cases, the proceeded to mutter back at me and quickly made their way across the street and out of sight.

Went to the office around 9:30 am. Locked up my bike on a rack along Canal. There were other bikes also locked up. I left the office around 4 and my bike was not there. I asked security if the buildings cameras could see that rack but they checked and it couldn't see around the building.

I accidentally left my bike in our gated back entry. The bike was not locked. The gates were locked, but if you *really* want to steal a bike it's not too hard to jump over those gates and pass the bike back over to a friend, which is what I assume happened. Not sure what time, or even exactly what day, but I'm pretty sure it was september 5th.
