Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The incident happened between the hours of 7pm April 14th and maybe early morning on April 15th. There is a potential possibility that the bike wasn't U-locked correctly.

I left my bike locked to a sign outside of The Pumping Company Bar and Grill on Broadway just south of Granville. I left it there over night and returned in the morning to find no sign of it.

Have locking wheels, U lock, and cable lock. Machine sawed through my U lock. Sons of bitches!

Behind a key entry gate and up three floors of enclosed stairs my bike was along side two other bikes that were left undisturbed.

Bike found missing from locked storage room in apartment building where everyone stores their bikes.

I heard a car pull up around 330pm when I was in a meeting and then speed of really quickly. I knew it was my bike because I work in a facility for people with disabilities and it was right as everyone was leaving so someone definitely saw what happened or they were in a hurry because of the numerous people around. They left the front tire and the bike after having disassembled the bike.

My car was broken into on Oakley and Fullerton in Logan Square. The bike was in thr back. It has two flat tires. The thief left the locks in the car. There were front and rear lights on the bike, other than that it was pretty standard.

We are often lazy and do not lock the vestibule door to our basement. Three kids' bikes and a BOB trailer were in the vestibule, unlocked, and door propped open. Luckily only one (albeit the most expensive one) bike was taken.

Bike was stolen right across from main entrance at Lincoln Park Zoo. It was locked to another bike and the bike rack but the lock was cut and my bike was stolen. There were lots of people around so I find it hard to believe no one saw anything.

Garage was broken into through the side door (key activated lock was damaged). Garage door opener taken from inside car, and bicycle removed from garage.

Bike was locked to rack at Webster Theater. Airplane cable cut.

My bike (the one described) and my fiance's bike were stolen from our backyard. The bikes were not visible from the street or alley and there are two locked gates to get to bikes.

We hadn't been home all day and bike was locked to back porch, up one flight of stairs. Our roommate saw it when she stopped home briefly at 5 PM and our landlords thought it may still have been there around 7. We came back home at 11 PM and the posts on the porch were broken, and the bike was lifted and carried out--front tire was locked to frame and to post.

Bike was discovered stolen at this date and time. Could have been missing for a week or two prior.

When my husband left for work at 9:30 this morning, my bike was in my garage. When he got home this evening at 5:55, it was no longer there.

My bike was locked outside urban outfitters on Diversy in Lincoln Park and was stolen by a group of people, whom mostly likely kept eyes on me while I was in the store. Then created an distraction in order to steal MY bike from an highly populated area. This was a group effort so be on the look out!!

Went to get bike from garage and my garage door was wide open and the bike was gone.
