Bike was parked in the back porch area of apartment building. Access to site is restricted by locked gate. Stolen Bike was covered by a tarp and locked to another bike through the wheel and frame. Other bike was locked to large pipe using a cable locked. Other bike had the wheel removed, which is how the Stolen Bike was stolen.

Truvative single speed crankset. Equiped with white side panels and a built in child seat, the side panels have the shop name and website. The web is written wrong as Copenhagengenbike.com Weathered bamboo treat grips from PDW. The finish is scuffed up from a few years of use. To my knowledge the ONLY pink bullitt in Chicago.

This is the only pink bullitt in the city, and has the shop name on the side. Best guess is stolen for a quick flip, have heard rumor that it is still in the area as of afternoon of 12.18

Bike had black raise bars with black grips - one back brake on right side that went. Under the brake was masking tape - so you can see the masking tape sticking out a bit on the bars. Silver quill stem & silver seat post - black Brooks saddle that was perfectly molded to my butt. Black flat BMX pedals with metal cleats sticking up - pedals had red caps on the end. Also had a rear black detachable fender and a front detachable clear frog light. Frame had a few missing spots of paint on where I had dinged it up with my lock and other normal usage - so not in mint condition. Brake cable was held to frame by two zip ties - one clear and one black.

Unfortunately this is the only photo I have of my bike; the cat was not stolen.

The manager at the gym checked his security tapes and saw a man sitting outside the gym when I arrived. This man waited until I had been in the gym for five minutes (or so) and then cut the lock and rode south on Halsted on my bike.

Not on the rear. Installed Schwinn Universal Composite Pedal with Adaptor. So the pedals stick out a little wider than normal. Rear rack on bike also. On the rear chainstay, there is some evidence of when I had a trailer attached to it and red duct tape on it.

Security camera was able to spot the theft walk into building and stay for 35 minutes, leave and come back 20 minutes later to take a second bike in the building. The camera image was unable to pick up anything distinguishable about the theft. The back door has since been provided with a dead bolt lock.

My bike was locked to another bike. The cable was cut, the U-lock was taken with the bike. The bike was located on the 3rd floor of a secured garage (in a condo building). The thief. broke in through the front security doors, walked through the hallway, to the parking garage, to the 3rd level, passing dozens of bikes. He then walked my bike down 3 flights of stairs, right out of the garage.

Incident Description: 
Bike was taken from our garage, along with a women's Cannondale hybrid and a Quat car rack for 2 bikes. Someone in the neighborhood said he saw a couple (man and woman) trying to sell the bikes for $20 -- they were probably taken for quick cash rather than for the value of the bikes.
