Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Downstairs neighbor left garage door unlocked, thief got in at night and stole bike that was unlocked.

I can only surmise that the theft took place overnight after I arrived home around 12:40 am. The bike was locked through the front wheel onto yellow city pillar in the alley that my porch leads to. A brake disc lock was on the rear wheel. The bike with battery is 80.1lbs, and without the battery is 65.6lbs. I awoke this morning to find it completely gone, locks and all.

I parked and locked my bike outside Stan's Coffee & Donuts in Hyde Park (5225 S Harper Ct, Chicago, 60615) at 9:30 am. I checked on it again around 9:50 (I think) to see if it was still there. When I finally got my drink and left, the bike and the lock were gone. Security footage depicted a white male in khaki pants took it around 9:55 (I think). It is my only mode of transportation and I'm unable to go to work or do my job properly without it (I'm a local dog walker and need it to get me between locations).

We think we left a backdoor unlocked, and someone let themselves in and took off with my bike.

Garage that all tenets have access to. Some one walked off with it.

Came home from trip after leaving friday for memorial day weekend. Found my bike missing

It was locked behind building. Not visible from street.

Left my bike leaning against the fence of my apartment's enclosed (and locked) parking area while I ran upstairs to get something I forgot. In the 5 minutes it took for me to go up and down the stairs, my bike had disappeared from where I left it. No one else was in the parking area or alley when I left it there, and the people I asked about it afterward said they had not seen anyone. (Picture is older and from a different storage location, but only the gear shifts have been changed).

Theives entered my building's garage through an unlocked common door and stole 2 men's bicyles; this Diamondback and a new Cannondale Topstone.

It was parked in personal garage, a person entered the building and stole a bike

The surveillance record shows a tall and lean person came with a bike, he then pick the lock of my bike and rode away.

Broken into our garage.

Bike was locked at the bike parking lot at Clybourn Metra station in Bucktown around 1:30pm on May 22nd. When I came back at 4pm the bike was not there anymore, along with the cable lock.

Bike was taken from a locked residential garage. Lock was also removed from the scene.

On May 22, the owner wrote: I wanted to let you know my scooter was recovered. I tracked it using my airtag and the police walked with me to Wrigleyville where it was just left next to some trashcans in an alleyway. Very strange, but glad to have it back and in good shape. ===Original Description:=== I locked my scooter on the sidewalk attached to a pole in front of the Accenture Tower on 500 W. Madison St, close to the entrance. around 4:00pm. When I came outside to get it around 7:00pm it was gone, but the bike lock was left on the sidewalk and you can see it was cut through with bolt cutters. I have an airtag hidden under the scooter and see it's latest location is at 3554 N Sheffield Ave. Chicago, IL 606657 at 7:23pm. I am happy to keep you updated on it's location if needed. Someone broke into our Old Town condo building and got my bike hanging in the garage. Please let me know if you see it. Note it was without the gray bracket shown in the picture.
