Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Our garage was broken into and this bike was stolen from the garage. This happened in the middle of the night. The bike had a lock stored on it as well as a bike bag under the seat.

Bike was no longer on porch when I went out to go somewhere, was taken between today and last couple days.

Woke up this morning to find that pieces of my second-story rear deck have been removed from the railing and bike and U-locks were missing

Left work late. Bike was not where I had locked it up when I arrived in the morning. Lock was an Abus Bordo 6000 folding lock.

Bike was hung upside down on the roof of our second story deck. Porch is hidden by trees from the street but can be seen from the alley next to the house, which is frequented by the homeless digging through garbage contains. Best I can guess, someone saw it from the alley and took it in the middle of the night. Bike next to it was locked to a pole and was not taken.

Bike was on rack in locked garage overnight. Went to the garage in the morning and it was gone.

I had left my bike in the back alley since the keys to my back gate did not work. I must have forgotten to bring the bike back in and lock it in my apartment building. I cannot be exactly sure when the bike was taken but the neighbors saw the bike in the back alley that night or the next morning.

Left my bike at Union Station as I went home for the weekend. Came back a few days later and the bike and lock were gone.

We returned from holiday vacation, in our locked, communal garage the bike was missing. No reports of the door being left open or forced entry. Unclear date and time of loss. Last seen 12/23.

Bikes were in our garage. Door had been closed upon leaving but perhaps something caused it to reopen after we drove off. Tenant above garage called us to let us know and then closed the door again.

My bike was locked with two chains - one heavy duty chain and one commuter chain - through both wheels to a bike rack in our basement. Someone had to get through two doors - one to our alley and one to our basement - and then destroy both chains. They cut the padlock to the heavy duty chain to break it and snipped the other lock. Our back door to our basement was left open.

Bike was sitting in residential garage unlocked, garage door was accidentally left open by a roommate for a few hours and the bike was taken in that time.

Neighbor reported garage found open in morning, had been closed and locked previous day. Merry effing Christmas.

Bike was locked to a wood railing on the rear porch of my 3rd floor apartment. The porch was sawed and bike removed.

The bike was locked around 10 am, and found stolen at 6 pm. The lock used was Kryptonite U-lock, which was gone with the bike.

The theft happened between 12:45pm on the 19th when I locked my bike, and I finished my ER shift at 1:30 am on the 20th when I noticed my bike was stolen. The thief/thieves cut other cables at the Lurie Children's Hospital designated employee bike rack. It is a two tier rack system with individual heavy duty cables to attach your locks too. It's just off the sidewalk between Lurie's and Northwestern hospitals on St Clair between Superior and Huron. I noticed other locks/cables had been cut as well, but they took my locks with the bike. I had a U lock attached to the rack between the rear tire and frame and a cable lock between the front tire and frame. I didn't have an updated picture of the bike, but the picture I pulled off the internet is almost identical.
