Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

May have been stolen anytime between 9 pm on August 6 to 9 am August 7 from the third-floor porch of an enclosed, key-only access apartment building near Howard station.

Bike locked in front of 300 S Michigan. Stolen in broad daylight in front of patio full of restaurant goers.

The bike was in my garage in Bucktown. The door was left open and the bike was stolen out of it. I'm doing my first Triathlon on August 30th, so I need the bike to train and participate in it. Anything you can do to help would be great!!

Bike was locked up at Schaumburg Metra train station in a Saris multiple frame locking system with a U-lock and cable. U-lock was sawn in two places. bike stolen between hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Giro white and yellow helmet was attached to cable, black letters.

Happened on the border of Evanston. May have hopped on Main St. EL train.

The bike was locked to the rack next to Trader Joe's at the intersection of Diversey Pkwy and Orchard St. There is a security camera at the traffic light, which may have the bike rack in its line of sight. I went in to get grocery at ~8 pm, and was out by ~8:30pm. The bike was gone.

Bike was locked up by Oak Street beach near the Caffe Olivia, near the beach lockers.

The bikes, yes we had both stolen, were taken between 11 PM on 8/6 and 6:30 AM on 8/7. We live in a coach house, so you cannot see them from the street. Someone came back to our home and cut iron railing on our front porch with a torch and took the bikes. They took nothing else.

left my bike outside church on hoyne and le moyne, forgot my lock so I nestled it amongst other locked bikes... Pretty dumb.

Not sure how the person got in, no tampering on door.

The bike lock might have been cut and taken away. Also there was another bike parked at the same spot, so I guess the incident happened immediately after I parked early morning 7:30 am.

Bike was inside of my car. The front passenger window was broken to get access to it. Camelbak with bike locks were also stolen

I have let a couple people borrow my bike before but they always return it. What is strange about this incident is that the bike was "safely" propped up against a wall inside my home in the living room. I live in an artist loft that hosts a lot of events and we have a big open living room, but whenever we have an event, we put our bikes in a bedroom and lock the door to avoid situations like this. The weekend before last, I let my brother borrow it to grab food but I watched him return and bring the bike back inside. I used the bike one other time after this and the last time I visually saw it inside my home was probably on Wednesday or Thursday of last week. I didn't really pay much attention to the location of my bike after that because as I mentioned I usually just leave it sitting in my living room and kind of figured it would be ok just being left there since I've been keeping it in that room for many many many months now. I've been riding my motorcycle more than bike riding these days so for the last week my bike has just been stationary sitting in my home. This morning I decided to change it up a bit and ride my bicycle to work instead which is when I noticed it randomly was not in my living room any more. I asked all 3 of my roommates and none of them had it in their bedroom. Basically, at some point since last Wednesday or Thursday, my bike mysteriously vanished from INSIDE my home and no one has any clue as to where it might be or who might have "borrowed" it. I was certainly never asked by anyone to borrow it. This post is mostly just to get people to potentially keep an eye out for it somewhere. I'm honestly kind of astounded and confused as to how it could just vanish from inside my home, especially considering we have a locked front gate as well as a locked front door. We DID have one of our front door keys go missing recently, but it seems strange to me that someone would steal the key and then come back just so they could steal my bicycle and that is it, nothing else is missing from our place. Doesn't make sense to me. This whole thing is a gigantic confusing mystery. Like mentioned above, basically, picture this bike, but with straight handlebars and no logos and stickers all over it. Guy got on my bike and took off with it
