Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was stolen sometime between Thursday 8/4/2022 and 2pm on Sunday 8/7/2022. The bike was locked with a cable through the frame and wheel, and attached with a U-Lock to a bike rack. The bike rack is located inside a secure residential building garage near the intersection of W Homer St and N Campbell Ave. The lock was cut and left at the scene. A tire pump was also stolen along with the bike (a matte gray/red Masi Vincere Tiagra 2021). Many other bikes in the garage – both locked and unlocked – were left untouched.

My bike was parked at a bike rack in front of Blink Fitness Bridgeport (3145 S Ashland Ave) unlocked and it was taking during the hour 6pm - 7pm while I was in the gym

Bike was taken out of garage between 530pm to 830pm

Bike was locked in partially underground basement to woodenhandrail next to another bike. Was locked to the frame and the pole. Pole was ripped away from cement and bike slipped off. This was in the back of the building which has a back fence. They must have walked in from sidewalk and around back to look. Otherwise it is not visible from the street.

Bike in closed/locked garage on property. Thief also took my landlord’s electric lawnmower.

Forgot to unlock bike on back porch, bike was stolen when from first floor apartment porch by the time I checked next day

Bike was locked to 'no parking' sign on the corner of N Damen and W Belle Plaine Ave; locked it around 7:30, was gone by 7am.

Bike was locked on fence around 5pm. Next morning noticed it was missing.

Bike was in enclosed garage, behind another bike. This bike was taken from the garage with little to no signs of anything else being touched or moved. Nothing else from the garage is missing.

Left bike unattended for 4 hours and was gone when I went outside.

Someone hopped over the fence and got into our garage and stole two bikes hanging in our garage.

Parked bike near Garfield Park Conservatory around 3:40 pm. Came back from conservatory at 5:00pm and bike was already gone.

I had not locked my bike, so it was undoubtedly very easily taken. I'm not sure if it was stolen on this day, or the day before, but this was the time and day that I had noticed it was missing.

I came home from dinner to find my bike was stolen. I had been parking it in the bottom of the stairwell to my condo building, behind a locked gate and locked front door without incident for months. There was no sign of forced entry, but they clearly came in and went right for the bike.

Bike was stolen from back alley garage that was left open. potentially anytime between 7pm July 28 2022. and 9am July 29th

Broke into garage and took the bike

I let my bike for 3 hours in the garage behind my house and it was taken.

Thief entered through the unlocked, backyard garage door. I had just left for errands and forgot to lock the door behind me. The thief had earlier entered our backyard per security cameras and was waiting/hiding for me to leave. The thief entered garage, took my bike and my wife's Batch commuter bike, opened the alley garage door, and left with both bikes. Theif was spotted on multiple of our neighbor's alley cameras.

Thief entered through backyard garage door just after my husband left for errands. He had previously entered our backyard and hid as my husband and dog were leaving. Thief took my bike and my husband's bike from our garage, opened the alley garage door, and exited through the alley garage door. Theif was observed on multiple alley cameras leaving with both bikes. We were not alerted that our garage door had been opened until our neighbor texted my husband around 10:10am about the open garage.

In front of 350 w oakdale building. girlfriend who knows my combo locked it up with her bike and said she locked it back up through the wheels but can’t be for sure because I wasn’t there
