Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was left outside the building for 2 minutes and it was gone.

The bike was in our garage, the side door was left unlocked. Whomever took it hopped our fence, entered the garage and went out the gate into the alley.

My teal Diamondback mountain bicycle was stolen from my back yard at around 9AM-1PM because I was foolish and assumed people in this city would not hop two fences and climb into a concrete byway for a $30 cumulative cost department store commute bike from the 90s. I would really like it back it was my sisters and it was a good bike

Bike was locked in an enclosed parking area, behind a large metal gate. That night, our neighbors left their garage open and the person was able to get in and take. Security camera shows a person entering through our alley, trying multiple bikes, and leaving with ours.

Bike was stored in a family member's garage. Based on security video footage, a male entered the front gate, crossed the front yard, walked along the side of the home, crossed the backyard, and entered the detached garage through the back door. He then took the bike, exited through that same door, then exited the backyard through a gate that led to the alley.

Bike was locked in our alarmed Dodge Grand Caravan no more than three hours while we were in the Lincoln Park Zoo. Van was broken into through destruction of driver's door latch.

Bike was stolen from inside our locked and alarmed Dodge Grand Caravan in the Lincoln Park lot while we were in the Lincoln Park Zoo.

On the second day after not going out for a whole day, the bicycle was found to be stolen. There was only an undamaged lock on the scene. A figure was captured by a surveillance camera and I did not know what he did to unlock the bicycle because the camera is too far away from the scene, and he rode westward.

My wife and I had our bikes stolen Friday night, September 24, from inside our building at the 4800 block of hermitage north of Lawrence. I have reported this to the police but would be more than happy if anyone sees them, that they can reach out to us. These were our main mode of transportation in the city and are now lost without them. Thank you in advance.

Was out of town, so could have occurred in the 4 days preceding the date listed

Bike was locked outside Jefferson Park cta station, was gone upon returning. About 6 hours between locking it and coming back

Bike was locked next to a school into a bike rack. Another bike was on the rack next to mine, but it was not touched.

Locked bike outside of a store for about 15-20 minutes; when I returned it was gone.

Someone cut my bike lock with cable cutters. The u-lock is missing but cable was left at the scene

I am a student at UIC. I went to campus to wish a faculty member happy birthday. I arrived at the building at 11:25 am on September 24. I left the building to go home at 12:00 pm on September 24. Within that 30 minute time frame my bike was stolen. It was locked outside the building at a bike rack with a cable lock. My helmet was also locked to the bike.

I locked it up before I went to bed at JST on the University of Illinois campus. probably around some time after the campus police leave the security barriers at the beginning of the street is when I thought the bike must have been stolen. The wired bike lock was cut and left at the scene I have the lock in my possession.

Bike was in locked garage. Possible that window was not locked as it looks as though the thief opened the window and climbed through.
