Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I had it locked with a u-lock through the front wheel onto a metal post and my other bike (which was also vandalized). Just bought the silver bike this week and didn't realize it had a front wheel that could be detachable. The person who took it removed the frame from the front wheel and left the wheel with lock attached to the fence. Also, they took my seat from my other bike.

The bicycle had been parked in front of my house, chained with a Bell cable and padlock to the black fence next door for about two weeks. Over night, someone broke the lock and walked off with the bike. The lock is also gone. We've already talked to the neighbor who's fence it is, and they don't know anything.

My bike was left in my Element. They smashed a side window and broke into my Element and stole my bike. Although the bike may have been damaged slghtly, because they pulled the bike through the front seat out the front door, damaging my car significantly. The roof and seats were damaged as well as the window they smashed. I don't know why they didn't open the rear hatch or side rear door. They also stole an air pump and Northface backpack.

I locked my bike to the small fence outside of the AMC movie theater on Illinois street. It was on the street side of the fence right where all of the taxis wait to pick people up. I got there at six and went to see a movie. When I cam back the back and lock were gone. The picture below is not my actual bike but it is the same model. The letters are a little bigger and there is a bolder black outline. I didn't file a police report becuase I do not have the serial number.

I left my bike outside in the alley right beside the apartment building door intending to come back within 2 minutes. I came back 5 hours later and it was gone.

It must of been stolen in the middle of the night. Had damage to front yard where they must have walked it out the front gate. The bike was next to another locked Bike that was not stolen.

I found out my bike was missing on the morning of May 9.

Someone stole the bike and left their old bike in place unlockedn

Biked to work and locked my bike near east side of 181 Madison building. Left work and it was gone. Bike in the photo is not an exact match, please see description above. Photo is similar bike minus, tri-bars, red water holders, wheel set etc. Same frame

Bike was stolen from inside the basement of my apartment building. Bike lights were stolen 1.5 weeks prior. Found my bike missing yesterday. Door to the basement was broken.

Biked locked outside 30 n lasalle for work day. Multiple other bikes near by. Two cable locks cut and left on scene.

Bike was placed in storage room between loading dock and my restaurant's back door at 6:30a.m. with two other employee bikes. Mine was the only one stolen. After reviewing security camera footage, the rolling dock door was left open following a 1p.m. delivery. At 2p.m. an unidentified male wearing a baseball cap entered the dock seemingly knowing exactly where the bikes were located, opened our vestibule door and took the bike. He was gone in under one minute.

As the lock is not present, somebody probably unlocked and took the bike.

I'm in town for training. I asked the training facility (Microtrain Technologies) if I could store my bike in their building so I wouldn't have to walk from the hotel. They ok'd it without mentioning the building's no bike policy. I rode in, and was turned away at the door by the security clerk. I was faced with either locking my $700 bike outside with a walmart lock, or missing out on a $3200 training class my company paid for. Obviously the bike went outside. When I came back, it was gone. No trace. That bike was like a part of me and I haven't been able to sleep all night.

Bike was stolen from front of my office (JPMorgan Chase near Union Station) building parking near 420 W Van Buren Street, Chicago, IL - 60606-3534.

It was stollen from inside my locked house in pilsen around 17th and Loomis .

I locked the bike up around 7:40am to the bike rack on the east side of the BlueCross BlueShield tower using a cable combo lock. Per security, those are easy to pop open. It was likely stolen shortly afterwards, despite two cameras pointed at the bike racks.

Got to school at DePaul University's campus at about 11:10AM. Locked it right in front of the entrance to the Richardson Library on N Kenmore Ave. Got out of classes at 2:30, bike and lock both gone from rack. No clue what happened to it, other bikes still there. Picture shown is the stock picture, but it is literally the same exact thing. Couldn't find any pictures with my bike.

The bike wasn't locked, but it was inside our enclosed back porch. The back porch is locked with a deadbolt and door lock. The locks to the house weren't broken, so we don't know how someone got in. You also can't see into the porch from the back yard because we aren't on ground level. Only my bike was taken. It happened sometime between 8am-4pm on April 30th.
