Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I heard some commotion and saw that 3 kids hopped the fence at the church next door, when I went to check on my bike it was gone and our gate was unlocked.

Garage was left unlocked and someone entered the garage and took my bicycle.

Locked my bike around 9 pm the night of July 26, 2017. I had just installed locking skewers on the wheels and seat, so I locked it to the bike rack at Southport and Wrightwood through the frame with a Kryponite Kryptolock Series 2 Mini U-lock. Can't be certain it was there when I left for work in the morning on July 27, but it was gone, no sign of the lock, when I returned from work around 8 pm on July 27. A bike rack and lock mount were added after picture below was taken.

I noticed it missing at 6:30, could have been stolen overnight.

Locked up bicycle for overnight in front of 2519 Lincoln -- locked up around 2am and when i woke to retrieve the bike at around 7am it was gone, with the cut lock on the ground.

The bike was there and then it was gone.

Came home from work and bike was gone from the bike rack under Diversey train stop.

The bike was enclosed in a storage basement area of the apartment building I live in. The only access to the storage basement is through the inside of the building by tannants. The access door to the outside rear of the building can only be opened from the inside. The only way for the bike to have been taken was from the inside of the building by another tennant. It was left for a couple hours while I unloaded belongings into my apartment that I just moved into in Rogers Park. Went back down, and discovered it was missing. For proof of ownership, I have all sales transaction information from Performance Bike on Halsted.

I last used my bike Sunday night 7/23/2017. It was locked to the bike rack in the parking garage connected to my residential building at 1225 N wells street Chicago IL 60610. I discovered it was missing Wednesday morning at 6:00am.

bikes were locked around a wall bike rack on back patio. bikes and locks were gone.

Bike was locked in bike room at 5419 South Harper Ave, Chicago, IL 60615 (Campus Court Apartments). Went to the bike room to get the bike and found the bike room door busted open and the doors leading to the outside of the building left open. Followed the open doors to the apartment gates which were also left open. Went back to confirm the bike was missing and only found the cut lock still hanging from the wall rack.

Taken from 3rd floor patio, not visible from anywhere else and behind locked (but shared) gates. Date is approximate, as I had just left for a two-week vacation (the plant-sitter noticed it gone in the first few days).

Bike was locked to adjacent bikes in the back patio (out of sight from street/sidewalk). The other two bikes shared a lock and those were not stolen and the third one that was stolen had its own lock and was locked to one of the other bikes. The lock was cut and left and the bike stolen.

Bike was locked to another bike and both bikes were locked to a metal rail that protects the window.

I went into my friend's apartment on a busy stretch of Ashland shortly after 7 pm and locked my bike on a street sign pole outside. When I return to my bike at 9:25, all I saw was my tire, still locked to the pole (with helmet locked in as well). I was in a hurry when I locked my bike, and must have accidentally locked just the wheel to the pole and not the frame without realizing it. The tire had been released and the frame taken. Another bike locked nearby seemed to have lost its wheel as well.
