Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was on my back porch area inside of my locked building. I was out of the apt for 2 weeks due to a gas leak they refused to fix in a timely manner. Get a message from maintenance man said he recently "fixed" back door. I come back to my apartment and notice it doesn't latch all the way, very obviously. I head towards my back door and my bike is missing. There are two cameras pointing the exit, and my porch, but building has refused to help me and see the footage.

Bike was removed from inside garage.

Came out back to take trash out today and realized my bike wasn’t there. The lock was gone as well, but my helmet is still here. There are several other unlocked bikes back there but mine was still targeted despite being locked.

Someone got into my garage and took my bike!

Was temporarily on back porch on 2nd floor in Alcove. Thief came into locked courtyard and went up and down stairs and took it sometime between Saturday 11/22 and Sunday 11/23.

I moved the bike to an inside alley stair well of my building on Wednesday night 11/19. It was gone by evening 11/21.

Bike was attached to a bike rack with a Kryptonite bike chain. Retrieved only the cut chain at the scene.

Garage broken into with what looks like a crobar. Kryptonite New York 1213 Cinch Ring Bike Chain was cut with what looks like an electric hand saw. The lock may still be attached to the bike, but they left the broken chain link in the garage.

Bike was taken from a residential garage that backs up to an alley. Unsure of the exact day/time as I was out of town but it would have been between 11/14-11/17. No other bikes or items were taken and neither of the cars in the garage were broken into. Neighbors may have left the door open but usually both doors are locked. Other neighbors on the street have said their garages have also been broken into.

Police report will be filed Tuesday

Bike was stolen near the residential apartment building at the south east corner of augusta and Winchester. The bike was locked on Augusta Blvd.

Bike locked through the wheel in my apartment mudroom was missing this morning. It's covered in tape to make it look rattier, and is an Aventon Level 2 step through.

Someone got into our building garage and stole my bike from the garage around noon on 11/12/25. This occurred in West Town / Noble Square area, near the Augusta and Noble intersection. The man who stole it was walking with a cane / walking stick, and was wearing a bright neon orange hoodie with a hat and sunglasses. Seemed like he was in his 50s, an older man with a gray beard. If you see the bike or the thief, please reach out! Thank you!

Thief rode up on a bike, dumped their old bike, pulled out bolt cutters and cut the cable lock, and rode away on the stolen bike.

Garage door did not close and bike taken sometime between 3pm and 7pm on Nov 9.

Bike was stored in our garage and stolen overnight. We discovered in the morning. Side gate was open.

Thief rode up on Divvy to property. Opened our unlocked apartment gate. Broke the wooden fence the bike was locked to. Then rode away on the bike. Definitely planned. Divvy was no help if you were wondering. I have them on my neighbors camera riding north in the back alley at 12:20am. They were wearing hooded jacket, tighter black pants, and sneakers. They looked about 5'5 to 5'7 130 - 150 lb. So could have been a teenager.

I came out to take my trash out and both of my garage doors were wide open (which is odd). My neighbor may have left them open. Although it’d be odd if he left both.
