Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked at the porch steel. They cut the steel and took the bike.

Came and entered basement of our 4-unit building where all of our bikes are stored and mine was gone. Last time I had seen it was 12/18 in the afternoon.

Gray Fuji Royale single speed bicycle was stolen from the apartment complex sometime between Tuesday morning (1/10) and Wednesday evening (1/11). There is an area at the bottom of a stairwell where tenants store their bikes. The front wheel was locked to the frame, though the bike was not locked to any thing structural. The building is locked 24/7, though there is access through a keypad.

Bike was stollen from my apartment , Somebody walked in to my apartment and stol it from my basemant.

Police report filed, but no number right now. Our garbage cans were left out at extra day and someone used them to get back to our garage where they picked the back lock and pulled out the bike and loose change from my car.

Bike was in enclosed, detached garage

Bike stolen out of condo building garage.

The bike was was stolen from our back stairwell on the top floor. It was hanging on two ceiling hooks of the 3rd floor.

Our garage door opened on its own and someone came in and took the bike. We are not sure how the garage door was opened. No other items were taken.

Someone came into the garage in the basement of the condominium and cut the lock and took the bike.

The bike was in the locked back porch. The bike was not visible from the outside.

Bike was locked to itself in a locked, fenced-in patio with many other bikes out of view of street or alley. Could only have been removed by someone carrying it away through a narrow door around a corner.

The bike was boxed up and on the porch awaiting Fedex pickup. Someone with a van or something must have taken off with them while I was picking up my daughter from school.

The cable used to lock the bike to the cement pillar in my parking garage was cut. The cable and the lock were left behind but the bike was gone. The bike was stolen some time between 2:00pm and 10:45pm on Monday 12/12/16. Multiple bikes have been reported as being stolen in the building and surrounding buildings.

I left my bike locked up in front of my previous apartment building. Checked on it last Wednesday and it was secure. Came back yesterday to put it in storage and it was gone. U lock was gone too.

The bike had been out for a couple of weeks. It was there the day before the incident, so I know it was stolen sometime in the last 24 hours (as of Dec 11, 2016, 2:30 pm). My bike had a history (albeit, not a big one) of being harassed in this location. While its basket wasn't attached at the time of its theft, if usually had a basket on the handlebars. Many people would throw trash into it, and one day I found the basket to be severely dented (prompting me to unattach it). My bike attracted a lot of attention from my schoolmates, who thought it was adorable. And it is adorable. But nobody steals a bike for being adorable, right? The kind of person who steals a bike in the first place is not the kind of person who wants a light green flowery bike. What confuses me even more is that the lock was taken, too. That means the person who took it really wanted, enough to not just break the lock and go. A lot of people told me my bike was pretty, but I don't see those people actually going as far as taking it.

Bike was locked at the Bryn Mawr Red Line Station, inside the station where there are bike racks. When I got there, I discovered my heavy-duty chain was frozen shut and so I only locked the bike to itself, using the built-in wheel locking system. I assume that whoever stole my bike was very strong and simply picked it up and walked away with it, or more likely took it up onto the train. The bike weighs about 200 lbs. and is almost impossible for me to lift myself, hence the unwise decision I made.

Locked to street sign across from the Cultural Center, right in front of Chase Bank branch window that had security camera outside on 78 E. Randolph @ 150 N. Michigan Ave. during heavy rush hour foot traffic, between 6 to not even 8pm.
