Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Went to retrieve my bike after work and it was gone, along with the lock.

Sometime between 1-5pm on Sunday, Sept 11th my building's basement storage units were robbed. Lock and gated backyard, locked rear door to the building, down a half flight of stairs and through a door into our basement, there is a row of individual locked storage spaces. Lock to our storage space was cut and my Surly Disc trucker was stolen, our bicycles have been stored in this space without incident. No problems in 6 years here. The building has north and south basements which are not connected but share a backyard. Storage units from both halves were broken into, no signs of forced entry on either side. The bike is very large and set up for a tall rider as I am 6'7" tall, there won't be many like it in town - please contact me with any information and thanks.

Person broke into a locked fenced in area. Cut the lock and took the bike between 7:30pm-10:30am.

Bike and lock all went missing, so not sure how lock was defeated.

Last seen in storage area the morning of Sunday, September 4, 2016. Saw that it was missing around 10pm evening of Thursday, September 8, 2016.

Condo building at Kedzie and Armitage was broken into and bike was stolen out of the bike area which is under the stairwell.

Forgot to lock bike to boyfriend's on the bike rack at Target on Broadway. It was gone when I came back out.

The bike was locked to an iron fence in front of the Hearland Clinic at the intersection of Hazel and Wilson in Uptown. When I exited the clinic the bike was gone. I asked people sitting outside if anyone might have seen it, and then I walked home.

when I came back from work, my bike was gone but my lock was still intact. the tires were flat, so maybe the thieves might replace them.

Bike was most likely lifted up with locked tire and placed in a van.

Rode bike Sunday (Sep 4) morning and stored in locked garage. Other unit owner noticed garage door open Monday (Sep 5) afternoon and bike missing. No forcible entry and no one used the open garage door on Monday. Thief may have defeated key code for entry.

Bike was locked under security camera in Logan Square between 8am and noon.

Bicycle was stolen by cutting ulock with angle grinder. Security footage available. Black Chevrolet Tracker seen stealing it with missing clearcoat on roof.

By bike was stolen from underneath my back porch. It was locked to itself with a U-lock with two other bikes. It was the only bike stolen. My yard is fenced in and enclosed on all sides.

I arrived at the Logan Square Blue Line station on my bike at 8:30 a.m. on Sep. 7th, 2016 and locked it directly underneath a camera outside the stop. I went to class until 1:45 pm and when I returned to the station, the bike and lock were missing and another bike was in it's place. I purposely locked it next to a group of people handing out religious fliers as they do every morning and in plain view of a police camera because I thought no way in hell someone had the guts to walk up with bolt cutters in broad daylight on a weekday morning and jack a bike that was recorded directly in front of them.
