This is a bike purchased at Working Bikes (sticker still on the frame). I believe it is the Trek 700 Multitrack which is a hybrid / road bike. Looking up the bike on vintage-trek it seems like it was from 1998, and is described as silver/titanium with red decals. It has a yellow bottle holder, red Radius brake handles, light mounts on the handlebar & seat post, Planet BIke rear fender, basket on handlebars, raised/upright handlebar, new black tires with white and periwinkle logo. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Custom ordered Specialized Cruiser bmx bike Only one break pad for the back, front tire is laeger than the back. The tires are replacement tires. Old ones were damaged Colors are distinctive. Its a bmx bike purpose foe tricks of course but more for distance.The colors are (grey)frame rhan stickers on both side orange white and black with the brand name fatboy specialized indicatex on it. There was no kickstand. And the seat, had the same pattern stripes on it, and had a blotch of paint on it. It was an attention grabber because of its uniqueness.

I woke up when my room mate came in to tell me that my bike was no longer locked up in front but that part of the u-lock was on the ground with blood on it. I immediately called to file a police report. By the time I got down to pick up the broken piece of u-lock it was also gone. I am devastated. I loved that bike so much.

My bike was u-locked through front wheel and frame to one of those new "pay at box" poles. There was also a combo lock from the seatpost to the back wheel. being a new pole the must have easily undone the bolt at the base and slid the pole off my lock. the pole was sitting loose in the base when i got there and the washer that was jammed between the pole and base was sitting on the sidewalk.

New/different tires were put on (a bit thicker than normal tires for a road bike). There is a speedometer on the handlebars & a black lock attachment around the frame (just a small black box that the lock attached to when lock was not being used).

Incident Description: 
Locked it up around 11 p.m. to a chain link fence post separating my friend's backyard from his neighbor's. I'd locked it there on Monday without any problems, and my friend had also locked his own bike there in the same manner hundreds of times without an issue. Around 7 a.m. we heard what sounded like mechanical sawing but since he lives right by the Brown Line I thought it was just construction. Can't say for sure if that was someone sawing my lock, though, because I didn't go look.
