Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
Bike is a step-through blue e-bike with a motor under the pedals and a welded-on rear rack to hold the battery, which I removed along with the bike computer before leaving, so the motor cannot be used though the thief could remove the rear wheel frame lock allowing it to pedal. Suntour suspension fork in front. Had a small cupholder ring on the handlebar at time of theft, and tiny side mirror to fold out on the left cap. A couple very small cat stickers scattered on the frame have remained through all wear & tear. Some paint scratching.
I have not seen any other examples of this model of ebike in Chicago the 2+ years I've owned it.

Incident Description:
Locked bike to bike rack at side street parking lot for Mayfair Metra station in early afternoon. Usually carry bike on train or have an additional stronger U-Lock when leaving it out, but missed my train this day and left bike behind. Bike was locked through the frame and front wheel to the rack, and an abus frame lock was on the back wheel. Someone removed the lock and stole the bike before I returned after dark that night with no signs I could see at the time.
Can't recommend locking there, I occasionally have but only with the addition of the extra stronger lock.
