Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

My bike was at the restricted storage of the hospital clinic I worked at and an intruder that got access to the door that was broken, went in there and took my bike.

Thief walked into backyard through and alley gate where the lock had failed and entered a garage that was unintentionally left unlocked.

I locked my bike with a Kryptonite folding lock and a cable lock at the orange rack in front of Century Mall (2828 N. Clark St., Chicago). When I returned from LA Fitness, the bike and everything attached to it, including my white Specialized helmet, were gone.

Someone broke into our garage and stole my bike overnight. Bike was mounted to the wall, but was not locked at the time since the garage door was locked.

Bike left in front of workplace at 5:30PM on 9/15/25, as I came back on 9/16/2025 at 8AM, the entire bike was stolen as the bike lock was attempted to be cut in one spot and cut fully in another spot. Workplace had a camera that I will be hopefully getting access to.

The thief broke into the side door of the garage, removed the bike from the trainer and walked the bike out of the alley. He also stole 2 additional wheels, a front 808 Zipp Tubular Wheel and a Zipp Disc Wheel.

I went to the garage to got on my bike and head to the gym by 8:15 am. That's when I noticed my bike was missing. I tracked the AirTag hidden on the bike to 330 N Clark but couldn't find it in the nearby area.

Both garages in my building were broken into and several bikes were taken. This bike was locked to another, lock was removed but only one bike taken.

Amazon delivery driver left gate open, packages untouched on porch, only bike was stolen. I strongly suspect the delivery driver for this reason

In the side alley of my building, which has a locked gate, my bike was tucked away behind a stairwell. Midday on my way to work a neighbor of mine said their bike was taken and locked up with someone else's lock, next to where their bike was locked up was the empty space where mine should have been. I do not know who took it but it seems like the same people who committed the other attempted theft are most likely since they would have needed a key to get into the spaces. This bike was my mom's and is over 20 years old, I don't have the records to know what the model type or what the serial number is, but I have photos so I know the make.

Bike was last used on the evening of Tuesday, Sep 9, but I'm pretty sure it was still where I'd locked it on the 10th. I checked on the morning of Thursday the 11th, intending to use the bike, and it was not there. The lock was also missing.

Bike was locked to the next door neighbor’s iron fence with a U lock. Photo is of a similar bike but not my exact bike. My Schwinn had black rubber handles. Hope whoever did this suffers!

Bike missing from garage when went back in evening.

Garage rollup door malfunctioned and was open overnight. The bike was stolen some time between Sept 6, 9pm and Sept 7, 9am
