Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Stone from the enclosed parking area. Must have been during the night / early hours. Many bikes in the area so feel like they knew what they were going for.

Stolen the night of October 5th or early morning of October 6th

Garage was either broken into or left open, both neighbors remember shutting the door. Was known to be shut at 7:00 PM but garage was found open at 7:30 AM the next morning.

Left my bike downstairs in basement the night of 9/09. Didn't return to basement until 9 am Saturday morning (9/12) when I noticed it was gone. 5 other bikes in the basement were left untouched. I have lived here for 2 years and had been leaving my old beater in the basement with no issue. Didn't even have the new bike for a month before it was stolen.

After riding to lawyer for paperwork, I parked bike in front of my basement doorway, intending to bring it in. I dozed off for 30 mins and checked bike and it was gone and found back gate open and saddle bags left behind in the alley.

I was working out at Lakeview Athletic Club from approximately 6p - 7p. When I came outside the bike was gone and I found the cut lock on the ground nearby.

Bike was in the yard of a locked building. Somebody enters to next building from alley and jumps in the our yard. Takes the unlocked bike and leaves. I have security camera records but his face is covered with mask.

Thieves broke inside the garage, broke the window.

At 835am, I locked my bike to a rack under the bridge at Washington/canal, next to Ogilvie Transportation Center. When I returned at 1pm, it was gone.

Bike was stolen from the back deck of the apartment after one of the other apartment tenants left the gate to the car lot open. Happened in the night while everyone was sleeping. Most likely happened before 3 am. One of my roommates went out for a cigarette at 3 in the morning and noticed the gate was open, but they did not make sure the bike was still there.

Thieves broke inside the garage, they broke my window and took 2 bicycles.

The bike was in a closed garage. it was stolen in the middle of the night. the bike was not locked because it was in a closed garage of a house. single car garage.

Bike was parked in backyard by the front entrance to my coach house at 6:00pm on 10/1. Was missing by 9:00am on 10/2, with the rear gate left open. A red bicycle was left behind a few doors down, presumably used by the perpetrator to get here and then they switched.

a man went into back yard opened side garage door and apparently cut the bolts that attached the bike rack to the wall and proceeded to ride off. His image was caught on neighbors camera.

I locked my bike to a rack in front of an apartment building while I was visiting a friend. The bike was gone when I came outside. I immediately filed a police report. I think the bike was simply cut from the rack because out of all the bikes, it was one of only a few without a U-Lock, and between the bikes with cords it was probably the nicest bike.

I have video of two individuals cutting my lock and taking my bike, helmet, and lock with them. Bike was stolen in wicker park in front of Standard bar and grill at 10:24 pm. Red schwinn fastback with white stripes and white “schwinn” lettering on frame

A couple came cut the chain of my bike off the fence and took the chain with them. A homeless man tried to stop them, caused a scene in the parking lot, then man rode off on my bike and the woman walked away. The woman had a scar on her face and was around 5'2. The man was around 6 ft and maybe 200lbs.

I locked my bike on the rack outside Evanston Whole Foods(right outside main door) at 11am. 3pm I checked it was gone.
