Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I locked my bike to a rack in front of Bucktown Athletic Club at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 10. When I came outside at 3:45 pm, the bike and lock were both gone. I don't have a picture of the actual bike but that is the stock photo.

Theft caught on video camera. Unauthorized subject gained access to a locked building at 5:00 am wearing a grey hoodie and mask. Subject was a large male, tall and heavy with a protruding stomach. Subject forced open bike storage room after first checking doors of all cars parked in the garage. Bike was secured with 1/2 inch cable and a combination U-Lock (black with red numbers). The subject cut through the steel cable. The U-Lock is missing.

Someone opened my garage door and stole the bike.

Leaned on a pillar in my locked back patio area of my apt complex. Stepped away to grab a hose and it was gone. Noticed the gate was unlocked even though I locked it behind me. Assuming someone hopped the fence.

I had not checked on the bike in a couple of months, so I am not sure when it was stolen.

Locked my bike up in my parking spot Friday after work around 5pm. Discovered the bike was missing on Sunday at 4pm.

Neighbor noticed our shared garage was left open. His Trek bike and my ebike were both stolen.

The bike was stored with 4 other bikes in our locked storage room, which is behind a locked door. The locked door is behind a locked gate. None of the bikes were locked inside the storage room. I was out of town and came home yesterday. Today (April 10th) I went to get my bike and all 4 bikes were gone (but the 4 helmets were thrown on the floor). The bike had a small bluetooth speaker on it with a red rubber hand holding it to the handlebars, and I was able to find the speaker on craigslist but not the bike.

Bike was locked with u lock to a bike rack outside of Xsport fitness on Ashland and School. It was directly outside the front door of the building. It was stolen some time between 2pm and 3:30pm on 04/07/22. Someone likely picked the lock and took the bike, possibly cut the thick metal u bar. It looks like the picture below but has a black seat and black bar tape.

I went and had lunch with my friend at Bru on Milwaukee ave in Logan Square. After we finished eating and visiting the book shop, we discovered my bike was missing. We went into the Yeti store and asked if anyone had seen anything. One employee told us he saw a white man with a hack saw saw off the lock and ride away on the bike.

my bike was stolen out of my garage. it was locked and hanging on the wall. Someone cut the lock in order to take the bike off of the wall.

Garage door left open, thief walked by and examined garage. All activity caught on surveillance video, including clear view of thief's face.

Man walked up to bike rack, looked at bike for about 10 minutes. Once the area was clear, he cut or sawed the lock off and removed the bike.

Bike was locked to a rack inside the bike room of the apartment building. It was locked using a "Foldylock" heavy-duty Bike Lock. The lock was wrapped around the mainframe and bike rack. The lock was severed/cut/ground down.

I locked my bike in front of my apartment unit door. So they came in through the locked front door of the building and up three flights. I use a cable and u-lock combo to lock my front tire and frame to a pipe. The white Kryptonite u-lock was taken with the bike. The cable was cut.
