Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Left garage door open. Garage is in an alleyway where scrappers with open trucks go thru. Metal recyclers are nearby. Probably got sold to someone or junked for $. Was stolen with second bike - Green Univega Rover. That bike is a mountain bike that is my "beater" bike. That bike had a saddlebag on it filled with tubes, locks, etc.

Came back to my apartment and locked bike outside, came back out about 10-15 minutes later and lock was cut and bike was gone. Thinking someone was watching me. Kinda creeped me out. Really want to set up a trap and nab the jerk. Please find my one and only bike that I bought less than one month ago.

My bike was locked to a bike rack outside the Logan Square blue line station. It was locked to the bike rack immediately South of Milwaukee Avenue - the first rack closest to the subway entrance. I was gone from 7 am to 7 pm - sometime took it within that timeframe.

Was working in my garage and went in to get some water and when I came out it was gone. There were some movers in the compound, 3 men of spanish decent were in the truck. Still trying to find out who the moving company they work for are.

Sometime after 3:30 a.m. while it was pouring out, someone must have used a blow torch to cut through our backyard black iron fence. The bike was gone when I woke up in the morning, and a part of the fence was cut through. It had been locked with a U-lock.

Was locked to a steel rail with a U-lock. There is a conjunction point where 2 rails meet. They pulled the 2 steel rails apart and slid my bike off the rail.

Bike was locked up next to the board of trade building at the bike racks with an older u-lock and cable. Was still locked up at 4:30 (confirmed by friend who left at that time). Lock and cable both were gone. Building usually empties out quickly after 5, and I didnt leave until 7.

I went to hear music at Millenium Park and my bike was stolen during this time. Both my wheels were locked to a rack with a new master U-lock. Nothing was left behind. I don't think anyone could have cut the lock because it was an especially busy area. I am confused as to how this could have happened. Are there master keys in circulation somewhere? If anyone has any information, please contact me.

Forgot I left bike on porch around 11pm. Went to pull it in this morning and it was gone. Porch is secured from outside by two locked doors, so I thought it would already be safe, no damage to the security doors for my building. I live in a threeflat on the second floor; maybe a enighbor left a door open, but it is unlikely that they left all the doors open as I closed them at 11. Neighbor's car was broken into in lot behind building.

My bike was stolen from my garage somehow.

I'm pretty sure that someone went through this neighborhood with some industrial chain cutters and took every bike without a u lock. I'm fairly certain we will not see anyone riding this bike around as I found this perfect match of my bike on craigslist today. http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/bik/1870215614.html Also, anybody that knows anything about bikes would know this bike isn't worth the craigslist asking price of $500. I bought it for $450 on clearance 5 years ago! Hopefully someone here can help. Thanks!

Bike was left for the night and discovered missing around 7 am

Bike was locked overnight to gate. The person stole the frame and one of the wheels.

Left the bike in my locked garage around 9 pm Tuesday. Wednesday morning the bike was gone and the side door was left ajar. Nothing else was taken.

Thieves used grinder to saw off lock during the day. Occurred underneath train station on Van Buren street.

My wife and I stopped at Beachstro for lunch. I locked both bikes together with a cable lock and we ate lunch. returned to bike 45-60 minutes later and cable was cut. My wife's Trek 7200 was not stolen. Told the restaurant manager the 3 police officers that were 50' away.

Bike was stolen from backyard, as well as my roommates considerably newer and nicer Raleigh. We believe the thief hopped our fence and then let themselves out from the inside.

From the hours of 2000 july 27th 2010 to 0900 july 28th 2010, my Black Raleigh One Way 27" single speed bicycle was stolen from my locked back yard. The Bike was placed there after work, against a tree in my locked back yard. It is very difficult to see into the yard due to the fence being very tall. One other bike was stolen from the yard during that time, but nothing else. There seems to be no signs of break in, and my helmet was taken along with the bike.

Bike was locked to the 4" thick wooden support rail of my porch overnight. Was there @ 7am when I left for work in a downpour, but was gone by the time my neighbor awoke at noon. Thieves cut through porch railing with a reciprocating saw or jigsaw and removed spindles to free u-lock. ***
