Bike was locked to the ceiling of my garage by two 3/8" eyebolts that were epoxied to the ceiling joists. A cable lock with padlock was used to lock both the front tire and rear tire to the frame and then the ceiling. In addition to the cable lock, there was a kryponite u-lock locking the front tire to the frame. Thieves broke into the garage and broke the eyebolts from the ceiling joists. Locks were carried off with the bike (there was no way they could ride it from the scene).

My bike was not locked to anything because it was stored inside a locked building (which I had assumed would be safe enough).

I'm usually visibly present around my house so maybe someone saw me come home on the bike and leave by foot this afternoon and decided to scope out the scene.

Bike frame was locked with a newer U lock to an iron fence post inside gated front yard. Iron fence post was cut in half with some sort of bolt cutter or tool. This is the second incident on this property within 2 months in which the bike was stolen by someone entering the gated front yard and using some type of tool to cut through the iron fence post and steal the bike.

Stopped in for a quick bite at Birchwood Kitchen (window seat just outside my line of sight!) the bike was stolen not 10 feet away from me while I read my book and had a salad...becoming the most expensive salad I have ever purchased. Im assuming whoever stole it was a professional or at least someone who works with wire cutters. The lock was cut clean through and it was done fast, couldn't have taken them more than a couple minutes, street traffic was everywhere and it was in full daylight.

I kept my bike locked in my garage. Only myself, my roommates, the landlord, and a tenant that neither myself nor my roommates knew about have a key to the garage. I think that this mysterious tenant is likely responsible, but I suppose someone could have picked the lock. I left for a week-long vacation. When I returned I found the garage door wide open. The lock was not broken and looked unharmed. My bike was gone but the thief left my helmet and steel cable. A U-lock was attached to the bike, but I have the keys.
