Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike locked through the wheel in my apartment mudroom was missing this morning. It's covered in tape to make it look rattier, and is an Aventon Level 2 step through.

Someone got into our building garage and stole my bike from the garage around noon on 11/12/25. This occurred in West Town / Noble Square area, near the Augusta and Noble intersection. The man who stole it was walking with a cane / walking stick, and was wearing a bright neon orange hoodie with a hat and sunglasses. Seemed like he was in his 50s, an older man with a gray beard. Thief rode up on a bike, dumped their old bike, pulled out bolt cutters and cut the cable lock, and rode away on the stolen bike.

Garage door did not close and bike taken sometime between 3pm and 7pm on Nov 9.

Bike was stored in our garage and stolen overnight. We discovered in the morning. Side gate was open.

Thief rode up on Divvy to property. Opened our unlocked apartment gate. Broke the wooden fence the bike was locked to. Then rode away on the bike. Definitely planned. Divvy was no help if you were wondering. I have them on my neighbors camera riding north in the back alley at 12:20am. They were wearing hooded jacket, tighter black pants, and sneakers. They looked about 5'5 to 5'7 130 - 150 lb. So could have been a teenager.

I came out to take my trash out and both of my garage doors were wide open (which is odd). My neighbor may have left them open. Although it’d be odd if he left both.

came home from 3 day trip. Bike was gone that night. Several other bikes in the courtyard were missing or tampered with for parts.

The suspect entered condo through front door and went to the garage, looking around for a bike to steal. He cut the bike lock on the rack, stole the bike and exited through the garage door.

locked bike to U-rack on sidewalk while visiting the dentist. Came back outside 25 minutes later and bike was gone.

Bike was locked to a rack outside of the greenhouse theater. Person walked by and broke the lock and took the bucket approximately 10:45 am.

Bike was left briefly in a garage that was accidentally left open. When I returned from inside, it was gone.

Bike was stolen from behind apartment building in an area protected by a locked gate. Bike was locked to a bolted post using a heavy duty folding bike chain and the body and wheel were locked. I found the bike missing on the afternoon of 10/28/25.

Bikes were locked together under a staircase behind a locked gate- not in view from outside the gate. Went downstairs the next day and both bikes were gone along with the lock

Could have been Oct 23rd or 24th

On the afternoon of October 18th between 1:00 and 5:00, an individual on a bicycle rode into our community, entered into our garage, stole a bike and power tools and rode away. The criminal left their bicycle.

The bike was locked to a rack outside the Damen CTA Brown Line Station with numerous cameras facing the rack outside

Bike and entire bike post where gone from location, thieves removed the bike post and took it with bike attached, the post is gone.
