This is a green Kona Jake the Snake cyclocross bike. It has custom components, including SRAM Red shifters, rear derailleur, and crank, SRAM Rival front derailluer, and hayes disc brakes. When it was stolen, it had a red water bottle cage in it, as well as an SKS raceblade rear fender and a banjo brothers bike bag. It also has both front and rear lights attached, the front light being a black ORP. There is a large scuff in the paint on the left side of the fork, on the outside. There is also a rubbed out spot on the front of the fork, underneath the casing of one of the wires. I had this covered with a band aid to prevent further rubbing. If the back fender has been removed, there are plastic sleeves where the fender was attached, that may not have been noticed.

Very good condition, only used on nice days. Was custom built for me by Comrade Cycles on Chicago and Damen. Gold frame with gold bar tape and black/silver accents over all. Has full black fenders (front and back), black back panier rack, bull horn handle bars with black mounted break extensions, hand-built wheels with manufacturer's sticker still attached (I believe Velocity?) with silver drum breaks, 3 speed internal hub, LOTS of paint scuffs and chips, many of which have been touched up with almost-matching nail polish and gold sharpie, especially along the top bars and near the back wheels. Handlebar tape is gold and very worn in, cut up in spots and repaired with electrical tape (on the left side). Planet Bike women's ergonomic bike seat in silver and black. Monkey Electric LED bike light mounted to back wheel hub.

I locked my wheel to my frame and left my bike inside two locked doors in the stairwell of our apartment overnight. Last time I saw my bike was ~6pm last night. My housemate locked her bike to my bike via our frames. Both bikes were stolen with locks still attached and locked together, presumably to cut the locks off elsewhere. Front door was left propped open, no idea how they got in.

Believe the bike was grabbed quickly (nothing else appears to be missing). We are reviewing security cameras outside the garage that record the alley.

Our garage people door was pried open and my bike which was locked to a metal bar placed into the wall of the garage was taken, lock didn't seem to be cut, but perhaps picked? It was a kryponite u-lock. Nothing else was stolen in our garage (4125 W. Melrose Street) My husbands bike and our tricycle weren't touched. I am so sad, and would love to find my bike; I've been riding year round for 14 years in Chicago and have no car.

We had recently done maintenance on the bike in the back of our condo building, near the garage and back walkways. The bike would only be visible from the neighbor's open parking lot to the south or the rooftops nearby as it was next to a fence, making it difficult to see. The property is fully fenced and usually locked. My son was at home but didn't hear anything. It happened in the middle of the day between 10:30 am and 2 pm. The bike was locked to itself so someone had to carry it out.

Met some people at Nick's bar on Damen and invited them back to the house. 3 men left the house at approximately 7:00-8:00am out the back door. The door doesn't lock on it's own and I didn't go down with them to lock it. I imagine they came back upstairs, into my house to steal my camelbak with handpump and then back out to the porch to steal the bike. The bike in the picture is a stock photo of the same bike but mine has yellow tires and yellow handlebar tape and a women's mountain bike saddle.
