cut from bike rack outside CBOT/CME building downtown Chicago

Cable was cut. Bike was located directly in front of Vapiano's on 44 S Wabash Ave Chicago, IL 60603. No Cameras on any of the buildings facing in that direction.

The bike was unlocked in our building's secured rear yard. It's been there for months, until Friday 10/17 in the morning I took my garbage out and saw it missing. I saw it there less than a week ago. I just found out that the cameras that are installed there (one looking straight at the spot where the bike was) are dummies. Also, during the past few weeks, the lights in the rear yard have been on and off in an apparently random fashion.

Bike was improperly locked around front wheel only to fence at 2447 N Albany. Left for 25 minutes to walk a dog and returned to find only the front wheel and ulock remaining.

I just moved to Logan Square (on the corner of Wrightwood and Central Park) and accidentally left my garage door open for an hour. Of course my bike was stolen in that time.

Stolen from outside CTA Blueline. Coming out of the left-hand door of the train station, bike was locked to the first bike rack up against the station building.

Parked in front of Loop office building on W. Madison, across from Chase Bank, at 3:15 pm on Saturday afternoon. When I came out at 6:15, it was gone. Thought it would be safe because my office building has security desk within line of sight of bike rack and a steady stream of people were heading to lakefront.... Guess I thought wrong.

Individuals entered building garage - after a resident forgot to close the door, and stole bikes.

Someone forgot to close the building's garage door. Individual(s) entered the garage and stole bicycles. Between 5 and 9:30 PM.

Bike was in locked garage. Garage door was left open. I was gone from 5:00pm - 9:45pm and when I returned my bike was missing. There are two other bikes missing from the garage as well.

The bike was parked in the hallway in front of the office where I work. The hallway is private though so anyone not working in my group should not have been in the hallway. Someone entered the hallway and grabbed my bike and walked through and out of the building with it. They left the helmet lying on the ground and so almost immediately after it happened one of my co-workers noticed it was missing. It happened at Northwestern University.

Bike was locked in storage/laundry room for one week. Went to check on it and it was gone.

my 13 yr old son ,who built the bike with his father, was knoocked off the bike at belle plaine and hoyne by 2 older teenagers.one of the older boys then rode off with the bike and fled northbound on damen.

Locked my bike up at 225 W Wacker Parking garage along with probably a half dozen other bikes. Have parked it there without incident since April. Went to work and when I came out, lock was cut and tossed aside and bike was gone. Insult to injury was a half eaten sandwich left at the scene. Can only imagine thief strolling along eating their sandwich when they saw my bike and decided to go for it.

I had just finish coming back from cashing my check a couple of blocks away, I came thru the front and lock the front gate that has a lock that has to be closed from the inside. the back gate is always locked. when I left at 5p to go pick up my daughter from after school program I noticed the bike was no longer in yard near my stairs. I have lived on my property for over 40 years and truly believe the next door neighbor and/or guest threw bike over yard as they would not have known how to open front gate without being seen my other neighbors. The bike is always locked in our basement and I had only left it outside as I was going to pick up my daughter. This particular day I did not leave the dogs out.

Occurred between 1-3pm on 10/17/14 outside of the Gleacher Center, 450 N Cityfront Plaza.
