Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The bicycle was locked on a main thruway (North Wells) in the middle of the afternoon, the bicycle lock was cut and taken with (no lock left at the scene). The could not have guessed the combination or removed the bike from the rack, the frame and wheels were locked through. There were scratch marks that looked fresh on the bike rack.

I locked up the bike and walked to church, when I came back two hours later the bike was gone along with the lock. I asked the doorman to my building if they had cameras set up, unfortunately they did not.

Bike was located in closed and locked garage located on alley behind my house. Thief/thieves were somehow able to enter the garage without damaging the side door or the garage door.

I locked my bike in front of the CVS (as I usually do) on Wabash at Monore at 7:30 am. When I left work at 4:30 pm, my bike was gone. It was locked to the single bike rack closest to the corner.

The bike racks in front of my office were full by the time I got to work, so I locked by bike to a street sign further down, out of sight of the office entrance. There are some loading docks back there and it's a little more secluded. When I came out at the end of the day, the bike and lock were gone.

the last time I saw it was Sunday night (4/13/2014) in my storage room.today I found out that it is stolen. I could not find the photo of my bike with the exact color, it's just like the photo with just red colors instead of white ones.

the last time I saw it was Sunday night (4/13/2014) , I put it in the storage room in the basement of my apartment, the lock of the door is broken,I don't exactly know when it was stolen during this 3 days.

I believe some kids from Evanston came by and looked for bikes to steal and happened upon mine. Evidence of this was another bike that was overturned but was left behind with a U-lock locking the bike to itself through wheel.

I parked my bike to the rack outside Wicker Park Athletic Club on Division and Ashland right before 11:00 am. I came back out around 1:45 pm and there was no bike and no lock. Bike was locked through the frame and the front wheel, but with a coil cable, that must have been cut and taken along with it. No one at the gym front desk saw anything.

I locked my bike in front of my school in order to run in, print, and return an assignment. I was inside for approximately 30 min. When I returned, I found my lock cut and the bike missing.

I STUPIDLY FORGOT TO LOCK BIKE UP OVERNIGHT & IT WAS TAKEN.

when preparing to move, we realized that our 'nice' bikes had been stolen from our garage. theives knew about bikes- left the old treks and took the new Jamis & Marin hybrids. no damage to the garage- entry point is unknown.

I cam home from work to discover my bike was gone. The bike was in our back porch area which is locked by a rear door. The rear door leads to a gate and then to an alley. I assume somebody left the door and gate open and somebody walked in and stole it.

Our garage door was accidentally left open. Bike was hanging from hooks on garage wall.

Bike was locked to iron fence in front of my apartment in lakeview

Bike was stolen from apartment courtyard between 9:00 PM April 10 and 9:00 AM April 11. No other item was stolen. Assuming culprit cut chord lock. Fucking dickhead.

Two bikes located inside a garage that were taken when garage door did not close correctly. One bike is a Purple woman's bike and the other is a silver with black accents Men's Trek 7.1

Bike was locked in garage, garage mate left door open and someone must have been driving by.

My building is constantly under construction and the workers do not maintain any level of security; today they were painting my door, the hallway floor, and stairs. I had a very narrow space to walk and it did not allow me to carry my bike up to my apartment before I had to leave for work at 4:30pm. I had my bike locked to wooden stair banister, while the paint dried. This is located in a small space, below street level hidden by fences and buildings--IT IS NOT VISIBLE FROM THE STREET! I returned home to an open gate leading to my bike at about 10:00pm to find my bike was missing and the banister was broken. I find it hard to believe someone walked in the backyard from the street to just "FIND" my bike. The workers have access 24/7 and are the only ones beside my couple of neighbors would would have known it was there.
