My bike was taken from a locked bike room on the ground floor in my apartment complex (1714 W Roscoe, where I lived at the time of incident). There is a back door entrance on the ground floor someone could have gained access through as well as entering through the front entrance and heading all the way back to the back of the building - both doors require a building key to access. My bike was locked in the bike room on 4/9. When I went to get it on 4/18, it was gone. My bike lock was not present either. So at some point in that week between going to the bike room, someone entered the locked bike room, got the lock of my locked bike and stole it.

We parked the bikes in our garage, hit the garage door button, and went inside for the night. Unfortunately, we think something might have been in the way of the garage door, causing it to open back up after we went inside. Our neighbors knocked on our door around 7:00PM on Thursday to inform us that our garage door had been open all day. Since we didn't go into the garage during the day on Thursday, we know it never closed when we got home Wednesday night. The only items missing were our Trek bikes. They were stolen sometime between 12:00AM - 7:00PM on Thursday, June 6th. (NOTE: We filed a separate report here for my wife's bike).
