Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked to the chainlink fence surrounding my backyard all day while we moved into our new apartment. Last seen at 8 pm on Sat July 13. Discovered missing at 6 am Sun July 14. Lock also missing.

Bike was in an area where there is always 10 people minimum outside as it is also a popular bus stop right outside the Pulaski Blue Line Station. Station attendent was surprised anyone bothered to take it. Police report was immediately filed.

Bike was locked to wooden structure at north ave beach. Wood pole was broken and bike was taken.

We moved into our new apartment yesterday. In all the commotion of unloading we left three bikes in the backyard by accident - enclosed by a fence, and not visible from the street. In the morning we remembered them, went outside, and they were gone.

We moved in on the 14th. In the commotion of unpacking, we left three bikes in the back yard overnight. The back yard is fenced in and not visible from the street. We remembered them at 6am. We went out and they were gone. The attached picture is of a similar bike of the same make / model / color.

At some point during the night of July 12 into the early morning hours of July 13, our 6" fence was hopped and garage lock was picked. Thief got away with a 2011 SE Lager black/purple road bike.

Bike was locked to a street sign on the SE corner of Sheridan and Glenlake at about 11:10am with an Abus Bordo lock. By the time I returned at 12:15 my bike and lock were gone.

Description of vehicle involved – Color: Silver, White, and Gold, Make: Fuji, Model: Newest 1.0, Year: 2012, Type: Bicycle, License plate: N/A, Other details: Stolen between 9:15am and 7pm Thursday July 11, 2019 Stolen from Metra Train Station in Glencoe between 9:11am and 7pm. Cable lock secured through frame and wheels to U-Lock that was securing my other bike.

Bike was stolen out of my garage in wicker Park

I took my bike for a tune-up early in May, and picked it up on 5/15, and when returning it to my storage space where many people in my building keep their bikes, where it's been for like 15 years without incident, I noticed the storage room lock was busted and the door would not even stay shut. I reported it to my landlord, but the work order shows it wasn't completed/fixed until 6/27!! Was out of town over the 4th, came back and went into the storage space. The lock is now fixed, TONS of other bikes and junk are still in there, but not MY bike. It's probably not worth a lot, but to have something for years in the same spot - I just want to know, you know? Why MY bike? It's not even that nice!! This probably won't come to anything, but any info or whatever appreciated.

Broke into garage, broke rear passenger window and took bike.

Had the bike in my gated backyard, not visible from the sidewalk or rear alley. The gate was left open and I believe a neighbor had adjusted my bike slightly so it may have been seen by a passerby.

My Bike was in the parking garage of my apt building locked to the wall with the buildings wire lock and my bulldog u-lock

Some time during the night, someone removed the screen from our window and snuck into our garage stealing two bikes. They appear to have unlocked the door and left through our standard sized door through the back yard.

My bike got stolen at the Bicycle orange parking spot at the playground at Riis Park. My bike was near my little sister bicycle before it got stolen.

Bike was locked with two cable locks to a bike rack near 11 E. Cedar Street in Chicago. Both locks were cleanly cut and left at the scene.

My bike was well hidden under our back porch. Not visible at all to the street, back alley, or side yards. Our yard is enclosed by an 8 foot fence that is padlocked. My husband saw my bike under the porch at 7 am when he left for work and when he returned home around 4:30 it was missing.
