Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Not exactly sure when, but most likely after sundown, and before I found it gone at 9 p.m. Lock was left on sidewalk.

Locked to standard bike stand at 8:15am. Was gone when checked on it at 12:15pm. Lake and Stetson. Just west of Stetson.

My general MO is that I usually bike to work. But first I stop at LA Fitness at 55 E Randolph St to shower and change into work clothes. I park my bike in front of LA Fitness and lock it with a 6 foot cable lock. The lock goes through the front wheel, wraps around the frame and the bike rack and through the rear wheel. On 5/17/23 I finished my shower and change of clothes and walked out of the building. To my surprise, I discovered my bike missing. It's a distinctive bike. The brand, Rose, is not sold in the US. It had to be imported from Germany. It's tricked out with premium components: Selle Italia saddle. DT Swiss 240 hubs. Rol wheels. 2 carbon fiber bottle cages. Sram Red cassette. Cinelli reflective bar tape. The frame number is obscured by the cable guide at the BB. Only the '50' can be seen. The bar code is fully visible but can be peeled off by force.

My bike was stolen on the corner of Clark Street and W Byrn Mawr. I had it chained to the bike rack right outside the Tide Cleaners. I chained it up around 5:55am and noticed it missing at 6:25am when I came outside from the gym.

The bike was locked up outside of a commercial building and last seen at approximately 8:00 a.m. The bike was missing as of approximately 12:15 p.m.

The bicycle was parked in the storage area of my apartment complex and when I went to do laundry, the bike was missing. I have filed a missing bike report with CPD.

My bike was stolen sometime between 4pm, when I had last ridden and seen the bike, and 8pm, when I noticed it was missing. The bike was locked to a metal support beam on the side walkway of my apartment. This walkway is behind a locked exterior gate, but either front or rear gate may have been left open by other apartment tenants. My cable lock was cut and left on the ground nearby. A nearby unlocked bike in much less ridable condition was left untouched.

Bike was left outside residents for 20 minutes in gated area, stolen upon return.

2 men stole my bike including the helmet, bike light( bike frame with both wheels and the lock.

Stolen between May 9 - 11. That's all I know. A neighbor in my building had left the outside-facing basement door unlocked.

Stolen at 3:20AM from my front yard gate. The individual who took it was a black man around their 30s/40s aroun 5'5-5'8' wearing a grey backpack with orange inside jeans, sneakers and a face mask.

Parked at 9am-ish at 300 E Randolph on 5/10/23, came out at 5pm and was gone.

We have a video of someone in a hood coming into our yard and taking our bike at 9:18 PM.

Bike was stolen out of shared garage.

Bike was most likely taken overnight, I locked it up around 11pm on 5/7 and discovered it missing along with the wood post it was locked to around 2:30pm.

Sometime in the past week (first few days of May) a new specialized sirrus hybrid commuter/fitness bike was stolen from our locked garage. The bike itself was stored at the back of the garage behind 3 cars, and hung from the ceiling, with a heavy duty bordo 6500 xplus folding lock securing the front wheel to the bike frame. The bike lock was stolen along with the lock. There is no other entry or exit unless someone is hopping a high, locked, gangway fence to get into the yard and then into the garage door through the back.

Bike was locked to itself with a U-Lock between the front tires and body of bike. Bike was underneath the stairs in the back yard of our three floor apartment building. Front gate and back gate were both locked. It was there on Wednesday, May 3, but no longer there when I went downstairs around 3:45 PM on Thursday, May 4.
